Meet Lizeth Carrillo

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lizeth Carrillo a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Lizeth, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I get my work ethic from my family my parents have always been a great example for me but also my older siblings have made a big impact on my ethic they’re all hard workers & always inspire me to keep going.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Hello everyone! My name is Lizeth Carrillo and I am the stylist for Lcstylesofficial , Bridal + Event hairstyling.

I have 12+ years of hair experience. I am a part time hairstylist behind the chair but The Bridal industry has been one of my specialties or the last 8 years Weddings are a big deal and it’s so beautiful to share in the joy with all my brides.
I Love seeing the look on a Brides face when i create her perfect style, is why I do what I do.

I offer on location wedding day hair so that you can relax in a comfortable environment free from the worries that come with traveling to and from a salon.
I travel within the area Inland empire, LA, Orange County , San Bernardino, San Diego, high Desert & more..

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I will say mental growth such as the way you think and learn. I Must say a taying informed about trends and updates in your field, can help you experience gradual mental growth that can lead to increased productivity at your work.

Social growth it’s another good one that involves improving your communication skills. learning how to communicate effectively can be important, especially if you work independently.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed I like to slow down a couple days on whatever the situation is & if it’s necessary unplug from social media for a weekend. Concentrate on myself & come back with a positive mind.

As a independent stylist my advice is to
Take Acknowledge of your achievements. Take a moment each day to acknowledge your achievements and successes. This habit can help you remember why you got into your profession. Think about how much you have grown in your role and where you want to go moving forward. Likewise, take time to celebrate the achievements and progress of others.
