Meet Lizi Gonzalez

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lizi Gonzalez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Lizi , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I get my work ethic from my mother. Growing up, I watched her build a life from almost nothing working long hours, managing a household, and still making time to show up for every one of my milestones. She didn’t just talk about responsibility or grit she lived it.

When I started my mobile phlebotomy business, I carried that same mindset. There were days I had to drive across cities before sunrise, work with patients in emotionally heavy situations, and still return home to manage operations, family, and future goals. It’s not always easy, but that drive knowing that someone depends on me, that I can create opportunities through hard work keeps me moving forward.

My mother never had the luxury to slow down, and now I understand why. She wasn’t just surviving she was setting a standard for me. Today, when I serve my clients with care, show up with consistency, and go the extra mile, I know I’m honoring the legacy of her resilience. That’s where my work ethic was born and why it’s never leaving me.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m the founder of Mobile Phlebotomy Professionals LLC, a Central Florida-based mobile lab company offering in-home blood draws, wellness panels, DNA testing, drug screening, and more. What makes our service truly unique is the level of personalized care and convenience we bring—whether it’s a busy professional, a patient with mobility challenges, or someone simply seeking privacy, we come directly to them.

I started this business because I saw a real need—patients often face long wait times at labs, transportation issues, or just a lack of comfort. With our mobile model, we eliminate those barriers and bring high-quality, CLIA-certified lab services to homes, facilities, and offices.

What excites me the most is how our work genuinely impacts lives. We serve hospice patients, work with private doctors, and help everyday people stay on top of their health without the stress. And now, we’re expanding—offering wellness injections, vitamin drips, and PRP/PRF processing for aesthetics and regenerative medicine. We’re also preparing to launch hands-on phlebotomy training to help others start their own journey in this field.

My brand stands for accessibility, professionalism, and human connection. I want people to know that lab work doesn’t have to be cold or clinical—it can be warm, empowering, and even life-changing.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Resilience – Entrepreneurship is full of ups and downs. There were moments when I felt overwhelmed or questioned if I was doing the right thing—but I kept going. Resilience helped me push through challenges, especially in the early days of starting my mobile phlebotomy business.
Advice: Expect obstacles. Don’t let them define your outcome. Instead, use them as a reason to grow stronger.

Customer Service & Communication – In my line of work, being professional, kind, and clear makes all the difference. People trust me with their health, and that trust is built through how I treat them from the first interaction to the last.
Advice: Always listen more than you speak. Respond promptly. Show up on time. Your reputation is your brand.

Industry Knowledge & Compliance – From understanding lab protocols to staying compliant with CLIA and Medicare rules, I had to learn a lot fast. That knowledge helped me build a credible, trustworthy company.
Advice: Stay curious and educate yourself constantly. Whether it’s licensing, new services, or technology—knowing your industry inside and out will give you confidence and longevity.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
