Meet Lizzie Rose

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lizzie Rose . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Lizzie Rose , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I think my work ethic developed out of my desire to succeed. Hard work has always been how I’ve gained any momentum and growth in my career. Hard work is all you have when you’re starting from the ground up. I find my strong work ethic empowering and it fuels my optimism.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I produce, host & perform live comedy shows every month. Comedy is what I love most in life. Performing has always been a part of me, acting, voice over and comedy! I have to say what excites me most about stand up is the high stakes environment and being able to create in the moment. I live to have fun! Stand up comedy is a way to cultivate & share joy with others. I love writing material to perform, it’s a creative outlet. I also teach & coach fellow comedians. Coaching comedians & helping them develop in their careers is very rewarding to me. I am fulfilled by motivating them, help them to establish their comedic voice. Witnessing their confidence explode with each performance…ugh there’s nothing better!! I love watching them shine on stage. Working with talent is something I realized I had a knack for when I started hosting open mics at a very small but popular club in Hollywood. Since then I have produced tons of shows & worked with hundreds of comics. My preferred lane of comedy is watching upcoming stars, finding new talent. I find it exhilarating and exciting. The comics on my shows are very dear to me.,I love to make people laugh and have fun. You can catch me monthly at the Hollywood Improv & other venues in Los Angeles & San Diego. I’m just getting started, baby!!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three qualities that have impacted my career path the most are my perseverance, work ethic and self confidence. You must believe in your abilities, dreams and desires first & foremost. Having a strong focus combined with the commitment to stick to it. Consistently working towards your goal without expecting things to happen immediately. Know that your uniqueness is your super power and there is room for everyone to succeed. Never give up!

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
I have found it particularly challenging to create boundaries with my time and relationships. Learning to say no to people, places and things. Sacrificing “fun” to get rest. Working to restore my solitude, stay connected to my spirituality and take care of myself. Putting myself as my top priority has been tough but I’m doing it but by bit!
