Meet Lizzy Lefkowitz

We recently connected with Lizzy Lefkowitz and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Lizzy, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I found my purpose by following what made me happy, and that was astrology. Even when it didn’t fully make sense to me, even when I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it, I kept pursuing something that illuminated my life. Whether things were rough or going great, I always turned to it. I found it so beautiful how I could look to the planets and have them reflect and elaborate on what I was experiencing. It felt like an artistic and poetic way to tap into the energy all around me.

Since starting my business, I’ve read countless charts for clients seeking guidance, crafted my own intention candles and room sprays to sell, and set up market booths to offer flash readings. Most recently, I launched a local astrology club here in Phoenix and began hosting Astrology Happy Hours at the Moxy Hotel!

Following what made me happy has opened doors, created opportunities, and introduced me to the most amazing people. You really do attract when you’re in a joyful, aligned place.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m here to share astrological insights with a splash of fun and relatable energy. I blend spiritual self-care with creating a welcoming space for others to learn and enjoy astrology at their own pace. Wanting to focus more on community, I created Cosmic Rising Club, a space for like-minded astrology lovers to come together, learn about current transits, and use that wisdom to manifest their best lives.

I specialize in helping you shift your mindset into a more positive, magnetic space for manifestation, with astrology as your guide. Cosmic Rising Club also hosts in-person Astrology Happy Hours at the Moxy Hotel in Phoenix, and we’re soon launching an online community for virtual meetups, resources, and courses, so no matter where you are, you can vibe with us.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Intuition: I followed my intuition when starting my own astrology business. I wasn’t exactly sure how to start, but I knew it meant a lot to me. I knew I could trust in myself since I have a go-getter energy. Make sure to make space for yourself to listen to your inner voice. Spend some time with yourself, journal, or meditate.

Creativity: Whether it was designing my booth layout, crafting my candles, or designing social media content, I had to use my creativity to stand out. Even if you’re not creative, it’s always great to experiment. It’ll rarely be perfect the first time so keep working on your business.

Community: Hosting events and working at markets has helped me connect with others that have helped me grow. I met people who support me or have offered me advice. Don’t underestimate the power of connection. Start sharing your voice online, go to local markets, talk to people about what you love. Your people will find you.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

Feeling overwhelm usually means I am out of alignment or doing too much and too far from my purpose. Taking breaks and avoid feeling guilty for taking breaks has helped a lot. Sometimes that means looking at my birth chart, breathwork, journaling, yoga, pulling tarot or oracle cards, or lighting a candle. This helps you reset and remember your purpose so you can go back to working with intention. It also helps release any trapped emotions or trauma that no longer serve you. My advice is to create these little rituals that remind you of yourself and your purpose. It’s ok to slow down, you are allowed time to yourself.
