We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lizzy O. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lizzy below.
Hi Lizzy, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
My optimism comes from my faith, my family, and my journey—including my life with a disability. Living with a disability has taught me resilience, gratitude, and how to find beauty in every moment, even the tough ones.
Yes, it’s challenging at times, but I’ve learned that challenges can be stepping stones. I focus on what I *can* do and celebrate every victory, no matter how small. Plus, I want to show my kids—and the world—that living with a disability doesn’t mean living without joy, purpose, or style.
Optimism is my superpower because it keeps me going, shining, and thriving!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m LizzyO—a mom, wife, influencer, disability advocate, and content creator. My life and brand are centered around faith, family, and empowerment. Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, three qualities and skills have been pivotal in my journey: resilience, authenticity, and adaptability. Each of these has shaped how I navigate life, motherhood, disability advocacy, and my role as a content creator. Let me break it down—and yes, there’s a light-hearted twist coming, so stay with me.
1. Resilience
Life isn’t without its challenges, and living with a disability has taught me how to rise above obstacles with strength and grace. Resilience isn’t about avoiding struggles but learning to push forward despite them.
*Advice: Start by embracing setbacks as opportunities to grow. Build a mindset that focuses on problem-solving and celebrating small victories. Surround yourself with people who uplift you—community makes all the difference.
I also attribute my resilience to my faith in God. He has truly carried me through so many seasons and changes.
2. Authenticity
Being authentic has been one of my biggest assets. People connect with realness, not perfection, and I’ve found that sharing my truth—whether it’s about parenting, my disability, or life’s ups and downs—resonates deeply with others.
Advice: Be yourself unapologetically. Don’t compare your journey to others’ highlight reels. Focus on sharing what’s uniquely you; that’s what will make you stand out and attract a genuine audience or support system.
3. Adaptability
Life is constantly changing, and so are the challenges and opportunities that come your way. Learning to adapt, especially as a mom and advocate, has helped me seize new opportunities and stay true to my goals.
Advice: Cultivate a “go-with-the-flow” attitude without losing sight of your values. Stay open to learning new skills and technologies—whether it’s improving your social media game or developing new ways to connect with others. Flexibility is key to growth.
A Light-Hearted Twist:
Speaking of adaptability, when I first joined TikTok, I thought, “Am I too old for this?” TikTok felt like it was made for teenagers doing dances I couldn’t even spell. But guess what? I adapted, I learned, and now my account is growing. Turns out, TikTok doesn’t care how old you are—it just cares if you have Wi-Fi and a sense of humor. Now I’m over here thinking, “Who’s the cool mom now?”
If you’re early in your journey, focus on building a strong foundation of self-belief and purpose. Start small, stay consistent, and don’t be afraid to ask for help or advice from those who’ve been where you are. Remember, every step—big or small—moves you closer to your goals.
And don’t forget—whether you’re navigating challenges or joining TikTok scared out of your mind, laugh a little and enjoy the ride. You’re doing great.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Absolutely, I’m always open to partnerships and collaborations! Collaboration is such a powerful way to create meaningful impact and reach more people. I love working with individuals, brands, and organizations that align with my values and focus on inclusivity, empowerment, and authenticity.
Who I’m Looking to Collaborate With:
1. Brands: I’m passionate about working with brands that prioritize inclusivity and accessibility. Whether it’s promoting adaptive products, parenting essentials, or lifestyle items that make life easier and more joyful, I’d love to amplify products and services that truly make a difference.
2. Advocates and Creators: I’m always inspired by fellow advocates, content creators, and influencers who are using their platforms to promote positivity, disability awareness, and personal growth. Let’s team up to tell stories that matter and uplift others.
3. Nonprofits and Organizations: I’m particularly interested in collaborating with nonprofits and organizations that focus on disability rights, accessibility, and support for families. Together, we can spark change and raise awareness.
