Meet Logan Massengale

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Logan Massengale. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Logan, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I had lost myself in depression and self-medication, living wildly and without direction, until the night I almost didn’t and shouldn’t have made it. That moment became my turning point. I found my purpose in becoming the man I needed to be, the one who leads with compassion, radiates hope, and shows the world the love and compassion I had never known.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am an Army veteran turned actor/model/country music artist building a brand rooted in redemption, resilience, and hope. After overcoming the darkest season of my life, I found that my purpose is to inspire hope showing others that their pain can serve a much greater purpose. Today, I focus on storytelling through film, music, and media, while also speaking publicly about my journey and helping in the mental health space as much as I can.

What excites me most is the ability to make people feel something whether through a scene in a film, a lyric in a song, or helping others who may be battling addiction or overcoming trauma. This upcoming year is about expansion: more films, more music, and bigger stages to shine my light to the masses. My mission is simple, to show that no matter how far you fall, you can rise higher than ever before, you just have to keep going.

There is hope.

The best is yet to come!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The top three things that changed my life and launched my career were: my core community rallying around me, developing the resilience to never give up and finding my why.

Who you surround yourself with is so crucial to your success both personally and professionally.

You have to have the mindset that no matter what comes no matter how far you fall, you’ll get back up and keep fighting to become who you were destined to be.

Finding out who YOU are and WHY do you do what you do every day is what will keep you going no matter what life throws at you.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

I take a step back and reflect, I reach out to my core people for support and guidance and dive deeper into therapy and further self development work. It’s okay to get overwhelmed and to want to quit sometimes. BUT it’s not okay to stay there and to quit. Understand that every morning you wake up that you are given a fresh opportunity to go make your dreams a reality and that miracles happen every day. There’s always hope. Just keep going.
