Meet Logan Morgan

We were lucky to catch up with Logan Morgan recently and have shared our conversation below.

Logan, so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?

The number 1 thing you have to hold onto is your authenticity. We has humans have all been designed and developed in our own individual ways, it’s what makes us who we are, you have to cherish that and therefore you will lead yourself through the path that is really meant for YOU. Number 2 would be keeping your network solid, most of the time your biggest support system won’t always be in the exact room you may be in! Always remember that everything in our lives always happens with reason, as time continues to go on if you just pay enough attention you will see how everything ends up making sense through connection.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am a barber that is licensed between the state of Ohio & California. What’s so amazing to me about my career is that to me it’s not so much a job but an artistic lifestyle! I came to California in route to really chase my life goals. I’m currently in Hollywood really setting my focus on becoming the private barber I’ve aspired to become in return eventually focusing on my future clothing lines as well!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I think for me a crucial stage in my development through my journey so far would have to be earlier on when I was just starting barber college to become licensed, as much as I could I would go hangout in my favorite barbershops around the barbers I respected the most. When I would go I would sweep the hair for them but in return pay attention to their work. For me this really helped push my vision into better understanding the base of my industry. With showing up to the shop like I would I further started to develop my consistency, networking skills becoming more social and involved in the shop environment, and all around drive to push deeper into my passion. These three main components have really carried deep into my journey now 4 years later which have really helped my development as the barber I’ve aspired to become!

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

At this point in my journey like I briefly stated before, being in Hollywood, I’m now more focused on becoming that exclusive private barber I’ve always wanted to become. With that being said I would say a top focus for me now would be networking with other brands/ business people that could in return potentially become clients or collaborators! If you or anyone you may know are interested in networking please feel free to reach out to my Instagram which is also my portfolio base as well!
