Meet Lola Olivero

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lola Olivero a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Lola, so glad you were able to set aside some time for us today. We’ve always admired not just your journey and success, but also the seemingly high levels of self-discipline that you seem to have mastered and so maybe we can start by chatting about how you developed it or where it comes from?

My self-discipline comes from a combination of clear goals, consistent habits, and the understanding that small daily actions lead to long-term success. This is why our business is named Daily Habits, life is really all about your daily habits and the small things you do to make out of every day something better. It’s about showing up, even when motivation fades, and trusting the process. For me, it’s not about perfection—it’s about persistence. Self-discipline comes from understanding that.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am a Holistic practitioner, I specialize on skincare and love treating my clients skin from within. I’m a Naturopathic Coach, so I am always looking for ways to heal concerns from a more holistic perspective, which in turn helps keep my client’s skin healthy and balanced.

I love performing sculpting facial massages, the face is like a canvas for me, I feel passionate about helping our audience improve their skin in a natural way, through massages and education.

I’m also one of of the founders at Daily Habits Wellness Club, a holistic skincare spa. We recently opened our new location at 3091 Coral Way, in Miami. We now have 6 treatment rooms, we offer a new set of facials & acupuncture and body massages as well. Plus, we are Miami/s first official K-Beauty store, carrying so many new brands to help continue treating our client’s skin at home.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Finding the right team is always key. It takes skills and a lot of knowledge and acceptance to be able to understand that you need your team to be part of your project or journey as much as you are, because they make the difference, you can’t do it all by yourself. I was fortunate enough to build a wonderful team that gives their 100% everyday. I work along a group of talented women, and my two main estheticians Andrea & Angie, have the most wonderful magic hands and souls and have been by all means part of my journey, they make our Wellness Club better and everyday I am amazed by what they accomplish.

Another important quality is listening, Sometimes it’s hard to take feedback in, specially when not everyone has the best intentions at heart. But listening to people’s feedback, listening to your peers or coworkers suggestions can help you grow your business in so many ways you were not expecting it too. Sometimes a fresh set of eyes makes a huge difference.

Last, I would say choose your partners wisely. I am lucky to be sharing this big dream with my sister Mila, our soon-to-be acupuncturist. Mila brings so much to the table, she has quickly grown our brand, she is our product formulator and keeps bringing out star products like our Daily Habits Blossom Body Oil or our recently released Hyglow Serum, the most hydrating serum you will ever see! I’m truly obsessed. Working with someone that shares your vision, has the best interest at heart and will give it’s 100% for the business, is a dream come true.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

Take a break! Life won’t get easier, that is probably a lie people say to make you feel better. As we age, our problems often become wider, we have more responsibilities, we get more busy, etc…

It’s important to understand that your body feels everything, and most of our emotions and stress can be balanced by simply dedicating a few minutes a day to release and de-stress. For me, I love taking a few minutes off and simply quiet down from the world. I call it my meditation time, I’m simply laying down somewhere, looking up and breathing. It helps me come back to center, and think again about how I’m feeling, and what would be the next step, so I no longer feel as overwhelmed.

I love breaking big problems into small problems so I can better tackle them, when I see them broken down, I realize it is no longer this huge problem, but rather small obstacles I will need to pass one by one. Remember, it’s all about the small details.
