Hi Lorena, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I discovered my purpose through my children. They opened my eyes to a new perspective on the world. They taught me to find inner strength.

My passion lies in capturing the essence of women through portraiture and newborn photography. What truly excites me is the intricate process of designing and posing my subjects, weaving together elements to craft a stunning work of art that resonates with my clients. There’s a magical moment when light dances around every curve, enhancing textures and adding a touch of elegance. It’s a process I take immense pride in and love to share with others.
Being a fine-art photographer demands not just technical skill but also patience and a deep love for the art form. It’s about understanding nuances, embracing imperfections, and capturing fleeting moments that speak volumes. I cherish every opportunity to connect with my clients, understand their stories, and translate their essence into timeless images that they can treasure forever.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Throughout my journey, I’ve discovered that three qualities/skills have been profoundly impactful: patience, strength, and adaptability.
Patience has been my silent companion, teaching me the value of perseverance and allowing me to navigate challenges with a steady resolve. It has given me the ability to see beyond immediate obstacles and focus on long-term growth.
Strength, both inner and outer, has been my guiding light during moments of doubt and uncertainty. It has empowered me to push boundaries, embrace vulnerability, and emerge stronger from adversity.
Adaptability has been my secret weapon, enabling me to evolve with changing circumstances and thrive in dynamic environments. It has taught me the importance of flexibility, creativity, and continuous learning.
Together, these qualities have shaped my journey, instilling in me a sense of resilience, courage, and curiosity. They have not only helped me overcome obstacles but also embrace new opportunities with an open heart and mind.
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
The most profound gift my parents provided me was bringing me to this country as a baby. It was the start of a journey guided by their unwavering love and wisdom, instilling in me cherished values and a deep understanding of the meaning of hard work. This early experience laid the cornerstone for everything that followed.
I am endlessly thankful for the life they provided and the opportunities for a brighter future that they worked tirelessly to offer me. Their sacrifices and dedication have shaped my character and fueled my aspirations. Their love and support have been a constant source of strength and inspiration, guiding me through challenges and celebrating my triumphs.
I carry their lessons in my heart each day, honoring their legacy by striving to be the best version of myself and making the most of the opportunities they so selflessly provided. Their love continues to be the beacon that lights my path, and I am forever grateful for their enduring impact on my life.
