Meet Lorena Ramirez

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lorena Ramirez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Lorena, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?

I came to an understanding that it doesn’t matter if you’re doing good or bad, people will always have something to say. I learned that the more authentic you are, the more you speak your mind, the more people love you…then the more hate you’ll receive. It’s inevitable. You have to be clear in your message and who you are talking to. In my case, if I can inspire one more person to work on their health and fitness, getting sober or simply being comfortable to share on social media to build an online business, I won! Lastly, haters are free marketing.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I believe in second chances for everyone. I’m not a college grad or this perfect entrepreneur. Matter fact, I come from a background of streets, abuse and addiction. I went through a lot as a teenager and although I had such a loving mother, I chose a risky life. By the time I was 22 I knew I wanted something different but letting go of one habit led to another. It wasn’t until I found God 2023 that my whole world switched up. At the time I had a fitness studio, went back to my parents and trying to escape the pain of co-parenting through excessive partying and drinking. It’s like my first 10 years of entrepreneurship was a rollercoaster or businesses, substance abuse, toxic relationships and trying to find real peace and I just couldn’t. Fast forward, here I am sober since December 2023. God gave me so much clarity and I realized I had been on business ventures that had a lot to do with people pleasing. I finally decided to tap in and listen to what Lorena wanted. Now I get to work from my ranch, built online businesses and learn new skills! I didn’t know this type of peace existed!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Believe that you deserve more. Whatever you went through in the past doesn’t define you. You are worthy and God wants you to have abundance.

Put yourself in rooms with people you can learn from. Listen, someone doing better than you won’t hate on you trying to grow. It’s always the people that don’t have the courage you’re taking to change for the better that tend to talk down on your goals.

Be open to learning new skills even if it means investing in yourself. We’re not taught financial literacy in school. Most people see a weekend trip as worth it but a course or a program as “too expensive.” That mindset will hold you back.

Put people in categories. Sounds weird but I made the biggest mistake of mixing it all up. For example, my business partners became party friends or simply overstepped boundaries. Do I believe business partners can become close like family? Yes, but not everyone has the emotional intelligence to understand, there’s a time for everything and when it’s time for business, get ready to get serious, all BS aside. I learned all this the hard way to where I’m rebuilding my team for the 3rd time. BOUNDARIES BABY!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I’ve been very isolated ever since I got sober 18 months ago. It’s been by choice and has led to a major rebrand. I honestly feel ready to create content with other creators who love fitness, COMEDY and anything related to growth mindset. I love people who are as fearless as me especially when it comes to speaking on our beliefs, ideas and adventures. I’m very open-minded and lowkey hilarious.
