Meet Lorenzo Davis

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lorenzo Davis a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Lorenzo, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
During my journey my confidence has been a rocky road. As a child I was apart of winning sports teams and was raised by a strong village. However going through my teenage years I got lost and my confidence dropped tremendously. I was betrayed by a childhood friend who attempted to rob me and unfortunately I was left paralyzed after the gun went off. During that healing period I began to learn about self and how the universe operates. Gaining knowledge of self took my confidence to higher levels. Speaking life and affirmations keep my confidence high and boost my self esteem. I make it a priority to wake up and get dressed every day because when I look good I feel better ready to take on my day and anything that comes my way.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Hi, I am Lorenzo Davis owner and Ceo. of Class 100/ Lorenzo Davis Jr. Foundation. I founded this foundation in November 2020 to help our youth learn to have discipline in life through sports. I created a branch off from this foundation called Building Community Bridges a community resource center in Jefferson City, Mo.. Providing resources, safe havens, youth sports and everyday essentials to families in need. I have since relocated back home to St. Louis, Mo. and became a gun violence advocate for UnGun Institute where we have been advocating in schools, teams and organizations across St. Louis City. As of now Class 100 is networking to build a local and national team to protect the mindset of the youth to build stronger communities.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Persistence, faith and knowledge of self were my top qualities throughout my journey. Learning the laws of human nature and of the universe opened my eyes to how much we are all the same. My advice is to learn how to love yourself so that you better understand how to learn the people around you. Believe, when times start to get rough because you will want to quit. We are all connected but we must unlearn what we were made to believe.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
In the past 12 months I learned how to love, I learned how to be still, feel and understand my emotions. I’ve been healing daily practicing UnGun techniques to release what no longer serves me mentally or physically. Working to not let others control my mental.
