Meet Loundie Chery

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Loundie Chery. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Loundie below.

Loundie, thank you so much for making time for us. We’ve always admired your ability to take risks and so maybe we can kick things off with a discussion around how you developed your ability to take and bear risk?
Growing up as an immigrant gave me the ability to take risk. If my mother and father can bring 8 children to the US without a plan and no money, that’s all the risk I needed to witness.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a small business owner in real estate services ( not realtor) When people hear Real Estate they automatically assume Realtor….Real Estate there’s a lot more diversity then people think. There’s investors, transaction coordinator, property management, inspector, appraiser, and a few other titles I can name. I am a Notary Public, title loan closer, loan signing agent and fingerprint-background check agent.since business has been smooth sailing so far I am working on adding more services that will structure the background checking process a bit more convenient. Drug testing will be available for those whom are looking to get that service soon.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1. Patience, rushing something or anything that requires you to learn more, understand more, and practice will survive in the long run. Anything rushed won’t last forever.

2. Confidence; if you don’t believe in yourself and your passion you’ll end up standing for nothing. Especially as a small business owner. You’ll receive a lot of options about how you should do X, Y, Z from people whom might be looking from the outside looking in. That energy can cause a negative impact in someone vision.

3. Consistency; I believe staying consistently in grind mood regardless if your in a good spot or bad. I always keep an open mind to learn although I’ve already been introduce to the information before. It’s always something new to learn.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
One advice I will give is to pray & wait. One of the main reasons why we can sometimes feel overwhelmed is because we make plans without a plan. I’m a believer, anything you ask for God will give. You just have to step out of your own way and let God work. Then you’ll see how less overwhelming things become.
