We recently connected with Love Logan, MBA, MFA, MA and have shared our conversation below.
Love, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
My purpose found me. If you asked me at the beginning of my professional journey, which started in undergrad, if I knew that this is where my path would have led me, the answer would have been a resounding “No” with a look of incredulity. I started college with the intent to go to law school and eventually land a high-profile job working in Washington. However, it didn’t take long to discover that God had other plans for me. As an ambitious college student who thrived on independence, I sought employment to earn extra money. I picked up the local paper and searched for job openings. I didn’t care where it was; I was willing to take anything. As fate would have it, I found two part-time jobs working overnight for ABC-NBC during the week and on the weekends at Cumulus. In the beginning, it was just a job to me, something I didn’t take very seriously. Little did I know it would be the beginning of my entertainment career. I learned the foundational skills I would need much later in life when I became a publicist and eventually a TV/Film producer. Those jobs helped me discover a passion I didn’t even know I possessed. I excelled, got promoted, and life took off for me in a significant way.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a Publicist, TV/Film Producer, and College Professor. I thrive in all of my roles. No two days are ever the same, so that keeps things exciting. My career in the entertainment industry began as early as 2001. Since then, I’ve worked in television at ABC-NBC WTWC-WTXL, in radio at Cumulus Broadcasting, in the music industry at Bad Boy Entertainment (promotions), Warner Music Group (Digital Media and Marketing), and Sony Music Entertainment (Marketing and Promotions). In 2010, I started my Public Relations and Production company and opened offices in NY, CA, FL and TX.. After working at some of the top record labels and starting my business in Public Relations where I’ve represented some of the biggest names in the industry and have coordinated some of the most high-profile red carpet events internationally. I eventually got into TV/Film producing and added those services to what Love Logan Productions offer. Now I’m able to do the top two things I love, building brands and creating cinematic excellence. Overall, what got me to this point is humility, strong relationship building, and business integrity.
On the production arm of my business, in 2018, Love Logan Productions (LLP) Co-Executive Produced an indie urban film, “First Lady”. 2019, LLP was a producer on the pilot episode for the TV series “The Probe”. In August 2020, LLP Co-Executive Produced the horror thriller “Call Time”, and contributed to the production of the Comedy Central documentary “Patrice O’Neal: Killing is Easy”.
In 2021, LLP Co-Produced the horror-thriller “Caroltyn,” starring Danny Trejo, Eric Roberts, and Bill Cobbs, which premiered on BET Plus in 2022 and is currently available on streaming. In 2022, LLP co-produced urban drama “Scam City” and psychological thriller “Mason”.
These projects are just a small drop in the bucket in consideration of all of the projects LLP has in the works including a food and travel show that was just sold to a major network, over a dozen unscripted shows with critically acclaimed celebrities that are in various stages of production with networks, celebrity charity galas, and celebrity basketball games, touring, and more.
What sets LLP apart is the company’s ability to take the reigns on any project from start to finish in production and media success because of the company’s capability of offering services in every area of entertainment. LLP can work with almost any budget and guarantee our results. With a diverse background spanning every sector of the entertainment industry, our knowledge, skillset, and network of resources and contacts reign supreme.
In 2021, Love Logan partnered with a long time celebrity client and close friend to create Plumline Productions. Plumline produces unscripted and scripted content across popular and niche genres and has secured placement for their content on major networks.
Brand-wise, LLP has been a leader as well as a partner to some of the most amazing opportunities the world has to offer; however, one moment that speaks to LLP’s level of accomplishments and reflects their values of paying it forward occurred in February of 2024. Dr. Dale G. Caldwell, President of the prestigious Centenary University in Hackettstown, NJ, asked Love Logan to create and direct an entertainment certification program. Ultimately, Love Logan created “Love Logan L.E.A.D.S.” (Legacy in Entertainment and Development Strategies), which offers dual specialization in TV & Film and public relations, marketing, and sponsorships. The curriculum is self-paced and offered online. This venture has garnered the attention of sponsors and other academic partnerships for LLP and Centenary alike.
Most recently, LLP has formed a luxury hospitality service for dog lovers called Yuppy Puppy Concierge that launches in Spring 2026. Furthermore, Love Logan Productions is proudly grounded in integrity, results, and long-term client relationships. Above all, our impression can be found in many successful initiatives and we take honor in providing our continuous support and professional services.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
One of the three skills that were most impactful in my journey has been the ability to pivot. It’s no longer enough to have one talent or even two. In the ever-evolving world, you have to bring more than your A-game. You have to be a triple and quadruple threat to stand out. You have to be resilient and innovative. You can’t stand and wait for one door to open; you have to kick in doors, create doors, and find new ways to push yourself closer to your goals. Another skill that’s been impactful is my ability to always be of value. Sometimes we’re so busy trying to prove our value by listing our accolades and accomplishments that we come off as a “pick me” instead of taking the time to do a little research. For example, if you have a desire to work or collaborate with someone, instead of pitching to them all of your qualifications, find out what their need is, prepare yourself to be the solution, and fill that gap. All you need is a way in, and from there you can pivot. The last skill is the ability to control my emotions. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “It’s just business, it’s not personal”. It’s easy to let emotions influence your decision-making, which can be dangerous and lead to missing out on many opportunities before they even materialize. When you’re able to set your feelings aside and operate with a “strictly business” mindset, it will allow you to make intelligent and more informed decisions that can reap rewards long after. Additionally, it positions you as a professional who is to be taken seriously.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
Two amazing individuals raised me. Both of my parents are entrepreneurs with multiple businesses. The most impactful thing they’ve done is taught me how to be my own boss. They started by instilling in me the importance of education, keeping my word, being a hard worker, treating everyone equally, networking, and never settling. I watched them grow their businesses, change the quality of people’s lives, and give back to the community. They made sure I understood how to be a team player while showing me what it takes to lead. They taught me about black excellence by surrounding me with positive role models, introducing me to HBCU’s, and being my first role models. They made sure they showed up for me and were always present in the moment by engaging with my interests, nurturing my talents, and encouraging me to try new things. They set hard boundaries that gave me the discipline that I utilize in my life every day. My parents supported, comforted, and rewarded me, ensuring they maintained a balance that allowed me to appreciate blessings, extend grace to others, and cultivate humility. My mother, Dawn, gave me life. My father, Robert, gave me his name. Together, they give me unconditional love.
