We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Luba Rodina a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My entire dedication is directed towards my singing career at the moment. Since the age of nine, singing has been my unwavering passion, and nothing brings me greater joy than the moments when I immerse myself in music. It’s a pure bliss that transcends comparison. Sharing my musical gift with others and evoking in them the same emotions I experience is an incomparable thrill for me; it’s what truly fuels my existence.

I’m thrilled to announce my upcoming live performance on May 11th at the iconic Viper Room. Tickets are available for just $10! Join me for an unforgettable evening of music and magic 🙂

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Qualities:

1. Fearlessness in artistic expression: I embrace the courage to push boundaries and explore the depths of my artistry.
2. Resilience to rejection: Each setback is merely a stepping stone, fueling my determination to persevere and evolve.
3. Unwavering determination: I possess an unyielding resolve to continue pursuing my passion, overcoming obstacles (even if i have to move to another continent) with persistence.

Skills:

1. Persistence and discipline: I maintain a relentless work ethic, staying committed to my craft regardless of challenges.
2. Ear training perfects the craft. I am still working on it!
3. Incorporating feedback: I actively seek and embrace constructive criticism from other singers, utilizing it as a catalyst for refinement and growth.

Areas of Knowledge:

1.Lifelong learning: With a history of learning from over ten vocal coaches, I remain dedicated to constant improvement and development.
2. Utilization of resources: YouTube is amazing to learn new tricks and everything you need to get better.
3. Approach to Development in the Music Industry:
The most effective path to success in the music industry as a singer involves consistent daily steps towards my goals. Whether it’s vocal practice, mastering new techniques, ear training, songwriting skills, enhancing stage performance, or even taking dance classes, every day presents an opportunity for growth and improvement. I believe you can achieve your biggest dreams if you believe you can and work towards it.
