Meet Luca Cundo

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Luca Cundo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Luca, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I had no choice. I wanted to survive and build a life that I dreamed of. I was 24 years old; fresh from buying my first house at 23. I thought that I was on top of the world. Little did I know my health was going to turn for the worst. My life was literally shook. I ended up with a rare cancer. I was in multiple comas, dialysis, surgeries, bone marrow transplant, had to learn how to walk and talk. It was my will to survive and be better than I was before I got sick. My resilience is what helped me persevere in life and pushed me to follow my dreams in becoming an actor.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am an actor, writer, and model. I recently just signed with Reinhard Agency. I am producing my own films.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Being truthful and trusting in myself. Also to never give up. You never know what is right around the corner in your life. The importance of family and friends

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

1. The Struggle is the Work.

Arturo Bandini, the protagonist, learns that chasing the dream of being a writer is inseparable from enduring hunger, failure, and humiliation. The poverty and rejection aren’t detours — they are the crucible that shapes him.

2. Ego vs. Vulnerability

Arturo is full of bravado in his writing and in life, but when confronted with real human connection (especially with Camilla), his ego cracks and reveals insecurity, tenderness, and fear.

3. The Fragility of Identity

Arturo clings to his Italian immigrant identity while also wanting to reinvent himself as an “American” writer. I feel this duality underscores the fragility of self when caught between roots and reinvention.
Identity is always in flux, especially when ambition demands you “become” something more than where you started.
