We recently connected with Luca Kazemi and have shared our conversation below.
Luca, thanks for taking the time to share your lessons with our community today. So, let’s jump right in – one of the most essential skills for unlocking our potential is self-discipline. Where does your self-discipline come from?
I have self-discipline because I don’t want to become a worthless piece of shit . It comes from being scared of not being the man I need to be for myself and my family. You get to pick your hard: either deal with the hardships of being poor or deal with the hardships of trying to make it. I learned at a very young age that anything that’s worth something doesn’t come easy. The second you realize that is the second it becomes easier.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Making music began when I was a teenager My music has evolved from that time until now of course, but what I’m realizing is that I’m influenced by music from everywhere all over the world. Not just by the music that’s marketed to us and played on the radio. I want my music to say something, to evoke thought, to have a purpose that’s not defined by genre. If it’s good, it’s good whether it has a label or not. I hope my listeners enjoy what I create, but I know it needs to please me first. I am excited about the future and where the music will take me.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Discipline, sacrifice, and perseverance are the most important qualities to possess. You can’t fail unless you give up.
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
My parents didn’t spoil me. From a young age, I learned the value of time and money and that taught me that when you want something you have to work for it. A lot of my friends and family had things that my parents couldn’t afford to give me. I had to appreciate what I was given.
