Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lucia Matuonto. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Lucia , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I find purpose in the little and big things that make life rich—my family, writing, and exploring the world. I thrive on discovering new cultures, learning new skills or languages, and staying active through exercise. Meaning also comes from nurturing connections—keeping in touch with close friends and collaborating with creative minds through my work.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I began my career as a content creator during the pandemic, after writing my trilogy, Zoe the Crab. Before that, I worked as a physical therapist, treating children with neurological conditions. Inspired by the stories I used to share with them, I decided to bring those tales to life in my books.
As I worked to promote my trilogy, I realized I wanted to connect with fellow authors, which led me to launch The Relatable Voice podcast. The concept behind the podcast is simple: it’s an RV—Relatable Voice—that gives a ride to authors, actors, and other creatives, letting their stories be heard.
From there, I expanded into The RV Book Fair, an annual virtual event, and The Relatable Voice Magazine. To date, I’ve interviewed over 500 guests on the podcast and more than 150 on a talk show hosted by WorldAuthors.org. What makes all of this truly meaningful, however, are the incredible people I’ve met along the way.
The RV Book Fair 2025 launches on December 8th. You can explore it at www.relatable-media.com

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I believe the skills that have been most important in my journey are adaptability, communication, and fearlessness. Living in diverse countries—including Bahrain and the UAE, Germany, Brazil, the United States, and Spain—taught me how to adapt to new places and cultures with ease. Communication has also been essential: I love learning languages and currently speak five. Finally, I’ve learned the importance of embracing failure rather than fearing it—it’s often through missteps that the most growth happens.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho has had a profound influence on my life. I first read it as a teenager, and I remember devouring it so quickly that I left it on my coffee table, picking it up again and again, finding something new each time. The book’s message—especially the quote, “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it”—resonated deeply with me. It shaped the way I approached my dreams, teaching me to trust the journey, stay persistent, and remain open to the signs and opportunities that life presents. Even today, that lesson continues to guide me, reminding me that passion, focus, and belief can turn aspirations into reality.
