We were lucky to catch up with Lucy Wayne recently and have shared our conversation below.
Lucy , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
By staying active. I’ve always walked everywhere since I don’t drive, and about ten years ago I started reformer Pilates, which I’ve practiced consistently ever since. Being involved in community groups such as Team Murph in Bondi and The 440 in Bronte has also played a big role — being part of a supportive community is incredibly fulfilling, and we all encourage one another. I take good care of myself, too: I eat healthy, drink decaf coffee and tea, and don’t consume alcohol. I also follow the teachings of the Medical Medium, Anthony William, and Joel Osteen, both of whom inspire me to live mindfully and with gratitude.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m a Fashion and Personal Stylist with a degree in Fashion Design, and I later expanded my expertise by studying Fitness — I’m now also a qualified group and personal trainer.
Seeing my vision come to life and making a difference in people’s lives has been incredibly rewarding. Along the way, I’ve built wonderful friendships through the work I do.
Through my personal styling and personal training services, I work both in person and online, making it easy for clients overseas or those who travel frequently. My styling services include everything from CEOs to brides, bridesmaids, post-weight-loss transformations, holiday wardrobes, and even post-surgery styling. You can explore more of my work on Instagram: @LucyWayne__.
There are lots of exciting projects on the horizon! My fitness accessories brand, Le Sport Collectif, will officially launch this November — over six months in the making and just in time for the festive season (the perfect Christmas gift!). I’m also in conversation with several clients I’ve been eager to style, and we’re currently finalizing exciting collaborations.
Looking ahead to next year, I’ll be teaching a class at Dubai Active and showcasing Le Sport Collectif with a dedicated stand. I’m also partnering with Wedded Wonderland and will be participating in Wedded Week — it’s shaping up to be an incredible year ahead! I’ll also be hosting a private Styling luncheon in LA next year. Contact KCM if you want to go on the list!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Qualities; Being organised, take notes in a meeting, network, be presentable. I’ll add one more, always be early!
Take note of these skills! Prepare the night before: lay out your clothes, have your bag ready.
If you want to network, attend events such as Business Chicks, or Boa where it’s a comfortable space to meet new people. Have your business cards ready to go! ( yes people still do carry business cards! )
Dress presentable. It demonstrates that you value both yourself and your work.
If you need tips to be early- use your alarm on your phone as a reminder!
Always have a pen and notebook in your handbag. I carry a small notebook at all times.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
There’s been a lot of growth this year with my business’s.
Signing up to a US PR agency KCM Connect. Travelling overseas on my own for my first business trip to meet the KCM team and to attend events. As well as expanding my Fashion and Personal styling and Le Sport Collectif to the US.
