Luis Angel, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I get my work ethic from amazing parents who work so so hard. I believe their hardwork and dedication to provide for me and family truly has shown me how important it is to work hard for everything you have. They truly have inspired me to do what I do now. They have given me the ability to see how important it is to have the courage to work hard and never give up on my hopes and dreams. I have been able to work so so hard to the ability where I have grown and expand my business so far just because of their help and encouragement.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Hello my name is Luis Angel I am the proud owner of LA Coffee Shop. I began LA Coffee Shop at the age of 10 years old as a lemonade stand straight from my house. I then carried out my lemonade stand all up to the age of 13 years old. I then turned 14 years old and knew I wanted to make a change to my business and turn it into a coffee shop. I then started exploring and researching all about coffee as I loved drinking and trying coffee from multiple different coffee shops. I then knew I needed to create a name and logo and knew I wanted to create a business name with my first name in it which consisted of it being LA which stands for my first name Luis Angel. I then began exploring and researching about cool logos and was inspired by a Green leaf and the concept of the color Green. Green represents prosperity, harmony, and growth which truly resonates with me and my business. I then created my logo and did my research all about coffee and various drinks which then inspired me to started selling coffee straight from my house just like my lemonade stand. I then began selling to numerous people in my neighborhood such as close family, friends and neighbors who are so supportive and generous. I then began finding events which landed me to my first ever event at CampBell Elementary School which truly help me to promote and expand my business to my community. I still to this day have connections with the amazing people from CampBell which have hired me and helped me find events all over places here in Denver. I then hired friends and people from school to help me out with LA Coffee Shop who have sticked with me for over so many years. From there me and my team began selling at multiple events such as Craft Fairs,Famers markets and much more! I then did events for the Children Entrepreneurs Market which lead me to winning a $1,000 dollar scholarship from them 2 times in a row which was a huge blessing! I then began investing more into LA Coffee Shop with those scholarships and have expanded over the years. With the help of my amazing parents, team and community we have been able to grow bigger and better into a larger company. I am know 17 years old and have invested and worked so hard to build and grow my business with the amazing people that have leaded me to a road of success. Till this day we currently still operate out of my house as a home-based coffee shop which we have a online ordering app which people can order online and do curbside pick from my house or get delivery. We also do pop up shops, events and caterings to multiple locations here in the Denver area. I truly am so honored and blessed to have build an amazing community and team within my business and feel so so grateful that my dreams and goals are slowly becoming true to reality. Thank you so much for hearing my story.

Three skills that I feel are very important and impactful for me upon my journey on LA Coffee Shop are consistency, dedication and passion. These three skills are truly so beneficial as they have helped me and taught me how important it is to be consistent when carrying and maintaining a business and finding portions of time to carry consistency in your business to be able to succeed. Dedication is truly another important skill as gives you as business owner the confidence and ability to work so hard to achieve your business objectives and achieve your hard working abilities on growing bigger.
