Meet Luis Capobianco

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Luis Capobianco . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Luis, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
As the only one in the room who looks like me, I’ve learned to leverage my unique perspective, embrace my identity, and advocate for diversity and inclusion. By confidently owning who I am, actively amplifying diverse voices, and continuously educating myself.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
In my journey, I’ve found three key qualities to be most impactful:

Creativity: Embrace creativity by seeking inspiration and experimenting.
Adaptability: Stay relevant by embracing change and seeking growth opportunities.
Resilience: Overcome setbacks with a positive mindset and support from mentors.
For those starting out, my advice is to prioritize these qualities and actively work on developing them. They’re essential for success in any field.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
I’ve been fortunate to have the support of my family, mentors, and colleagues who have helped me overcome challenges and develop essential skills. Their guidance, encouragement, and wisdom have been invaluable on my journey.
