Meet Lukasz Bielawski

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lukasz Bielawski. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Lukasz , thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

My optimism comes from my passion for New York City and the joy of sharing its beauty with the world. Every day, I get to see the city through my lens—its energy, history, and ever-changing skyline—and that keeps me inspired. The incredible community of followers who engage with my content and appreciate my work also fuels my positivity. As a creator and entrepreneur, I focus on opportunities and growth, always looking for ways to bring more people into the magic of NYC.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m a New York City-based photographer, and my passion is capturing the true essence of this incredible city. My photos showcase some of NYC’s most iconic landmarks, neighborhoods, and hidden gems, bringing each location to life with vivid colors and expert composition.

From the peaceful beauty of Central Park to the energy of Times Square, I love highlighting the unique character of every scene. I also take aerial photographs from helicopters and drones, which offer a completely different perspective of the city—showcasing its vast skyline and sprawling boroughs with stunning clarity and detail.

My goal is to create images that make people fall in love with New York, whether they’re locals or seeing it from afar. I always aim to add a personal touch, using creative angles and unique compositions to make each shot stand out. Whether it’s a classic street scene or a dramatic aerial view, I want my photography to capture the magic of NYC in a way that resonates with people around the world.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back on my journey, I’d say the three most important qualities that helped me succeed are passion, persistence, and adaptability.

First, passion is everything. I truly love capturing the beauty of New York City, and that passion drives me to keep improving and sharing my work. For anyone starting out, my advice is to find what excites you and let that fuel your creativity—it will keep you going even when challenges arise.

Second, persistence is key. Growing as a photographer and building an audience didn’t happen overnight. There were times when engagement was low or progress felt slow, but I kept going. If you’re just starting out, don’t get discouraged if things don’t take off immediately. Stay consistent, keep honing your craft, and trust the process.

Finally, adaptability has been crucial. Photography, social media, and the way people consume content are always evolving. I’ve had to learn new techniques, adjust to algorithm changes, and explore different formats like reels and aerial shots. My advice to beginners is to stay open to learning—whether it’s new camera techniques, editing skills, or social media strategies. Being willing to adapt will help you grow in any creative field.

If you stay passionate, persistent, and adaptable, success will follow!

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?

Over the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been expanding my storytelling through different types of content. While I’ve always focused on capturing the beauty of New York City through photography, I’ve put a lot more effort into creating engaging reels, live walks, and videos that bring my audience even closer to the city’s energy.

I’ve also improved my ability to connect with my followers. With my page growing, I’ve made it a priority to interact more—responding to comments, asking questions, and making my content feel more like a shared experience rather than just a showcase of my work. This has helped build a stronger community around my page.

Another major area of growth has been exploring new perspectives, especially with aerial photography. I’ve taken more drone and helicopter shots, which have added a whole new dimension to my work and given people a fresh way to see the city.

Overall, I’ve learned that growth comes from pushing beyond what’s comfortable—trying new formats, engaging more with my audience, and always looking for fresh ways to capture the magic of NYC.
