We were lucky to catch up with LuKesha Tate recently and have shared our conversation below.
LuKesha , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Developing my confidence and self-esteem is a journey that requires one to develop self-awareness, and to step out of your comfort zone and confront your fears with proving to yourself that you’re capable of handling challenges. Taking care of your physical , mental, and emotional well-being. Then instead of dwelling on your mistakes, view them as opportunities for growth and learning. Analyze what went wrong, adjust your approach, and try again with gaining knowledge and resilience.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Reflecting on personal or professional growth, three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that are most impactful having strong communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly, listen actively, and convey messages . Embracing a mindset of learning and adaptable in today’s world. The advice I would give individuals who are early in their journey and looking to develop or improve upon qualities would be resilience, communication, and continuous learning.
What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my mother did for me is to approach life with an open mind, to constantly seek out new experiences, and to embrace challenges as opportunities for learning and growth. Her encouragement laid the foundation for my lifelong love of learning and fueled my desire to continuously expand my horizons, both academically and personally.
