Meet Luna Lombardi

We recently connected with Luna Lombardi and have shared our conversation below.

Luna , so great to have you with us and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with the community. So, let’s jump into something that stops so many people from going after their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. We’d love to hear about how you dealt with that and persisted on your path.

I actually love this question, because I’ve always loved haters. I treat them like free motivation. They watch every move, every post, every win. And the funny part is that if you keep growing long enough, the same people who doubted you eventually come back asking if you’re hiring.

Persistence, for me, comes from staying focused on my goals, not their opinions. I’ve dealt with criticism, jealousy, and people trying to minimize what I’ve built, but none of that has ever paid my bills or shaped my future. My work ethic did. My consistency did. My resilience did.

So I don’t fight hate. I outgrow it. I keep building, keep learning, keep reinventing myself, and I let my results speak louder than any comment ever could.

That’s how I persist. I let them watch,and I keep moving forward.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m a medical esthetician and skincare educator based in Miami, known online as @TheSkincareHacker. My background blends fine arts, advanced esthetics, and years of hands-on experience working with high-end celebrity clients who trust me with their skin before major events, red carpets, and campaigns. My personal journey as a cancer survivor shaped everything I do today and pushed me to study skin health, longevity, and inflammation at a deeper level so I could rebuild my own health and help others do the same.

Through @TheSkincareHacker, I translate complex skin science into clear, practical education that feels modern and accessible. I focus on results, corrective treatments, and teaching people how to understand their skin from the inside out. My approach is direct, evidence-based, and rooted in real clinical experience.

I currently offer advanced corrective skincare treatments in Miami and New York and create educational content across platforms. And a fun detail about me: when I’m not in the treatment room, I’m usually testing new skincare tech or hanging out with my Sphynx cats — who also happen to be cat influencers.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three qualities and areas of knowledge that shaped my journey the most were
strategic investing, independence, and continuous education.

First, I always tell my students to invest in a high quality back bar. Products matter. Tools matter. The quality of what you use directly influences your results, and results are what retain clients long term. When you deliver exceptional work, your clientele becomes loyal and your reputation grows naturally.

Second, financial independence is everything in this industry. Save before you launch. Build your own space when you can. Avoid commission based rooms and hourly pay structures that limit your growth. When you rely on shared spaces or percentages, you lose control of your pricing, your time, and your brand. Owning your space, even a small one, gives you freedom, stability, and the ability to scale without anyone capping your potential.

Third, never stop learning. This field evolves quickly and staying educated is what keeps you relevant and in demand. The more knowledge you have, the more confidently you can charge for your expertise. And that leads to one of the biggest lessons: set your prices with confidence. When you value your work, you attract clients who value you. You should never feel pressured to lower your worth or accept less than the level of professionalism you bring to the table.

My advice for anyone starting out is simple: build smart, invest wisely, keep learning, and hold your standards high. That is how you grow with integrity and longevity in this industry.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

This answer is probably not what you expect to read, but I will say it honestly. I want to collaborate with Microsoft, OpenAI and ChatGPT, Apple, Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, Google DeepMind, Nvidia, Boston Dynamics, IBM Quantum, MIT Media Lab, and every company that lives in the world of advanced science, artificial intelligence, quantum physics, robotics, and future technology.
I love innovation and technology.
I love innovation and data.
I am a savvy tech person at heart, and those collaborations are my true dream.

Now for the answer you might expect.
I would love to collaborate with Estée Lauder and other global beauty groups that value excellence and innovation.
If you are reading this and want to collaborate, you can reach me on Instagram at @TheSkincareHacker or at my email [email protected] ❤️

And no, I am not asking for too much 😂 with the companies I listed above.
I dream big.
