We were lucky to catch up with Luz Gomez recently and have shared our conversation below.

Luz, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

My purpose in life is ever evolving, but I’ve found direction through discovering what brings me the most happiness. Community and unity are so special, yet they can be ease to lose sight of in the day to day grind. Slowing down and appreciating the small things in life is what truly fills me with purpose.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Clemen Coffee Co. is a mobile coffee catering service dedicated to creating memorable experiences that elevate special moments into lasting core memories. Built on the belief that love is in the details, Clemen Coffee Co. reflects this through every aspect, from the custom built cart that I personally built to the premium organic ingredients and handcrafted syrups that we serve.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

While I always knew I loved drinking coffee, I also knew it was important to fully understand the demands of running a coffee business. With a background in business and nearly 10 years of experience in consumer goods sales and management, I wanted to learn everything I could.

To gain hands on experience, I worked two part-time jobs, one at a cozy mom and pop café and another at a fast paced, trendy coffee shop. This gave me the chance to experience both extremes. At the small café, I fell in love with the intimacy of knowing customers by name and remembering their usual orders. And at the trendy café, I admired the teamwork and hustle during rush hours, everyone worked in sync and the manager would strategically give us roles for efficiency during the busiest moments.

When I started my own company, I wanted to bring the best of both worlds into my business model. At fast paced catering events, it’s important to keep up with the rush while still taking a moment to acknowledge each guest. I’ve also learned to adapt to the uniqueness of every event, always leading with love and working efficiently.

For me, it’s about blending efficiency with genuine connection, no matter the setting.

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal clients is someone who values the little details, whether it’s a wedding, a family gathering, or a company event. They care about offering their guest something thoughtful and made with clean ingredients. For me, it’s also about honoring my Abuelita Clementina, who taught me that coffee is more than just a drink, its a way to bring people together, create memories, and share love.
