Meet Lynda Arnold

We recently connected with Lynda Arnold and have shared our conversation below.

Lynda, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?

I believe creativity is the highest form of connection. To create is to express pure presence and love for the moment at hand. Creativity, whether it’s in the arts, or solving a problem for humanity or learning how to be a better parent, is the force that keeps us evolving as human beings. Keeping our creative connection alive allows us to express what we are feeling and seeing in the world around us. The creative act is a direct reference from our field of consciousness that we all share. Very early in my artistic journey, I was fascinated by my sudden ‘epiphanies; and new inspired ‘ideas’, wondering if it’s something that is always there to access. After a few decades of my artistic and musical journey, I understand more deeply about the ebb and flow of creativity, and how there are moments of pure, inspired ‘quickening’ and other moments of deep rest, where we incubate, observe and collect ourselves for the next chapter of inspired action. We can keep creativity alive but allowing ourselves moments, hours and days of play and discovery in whatever outlet we choose. Being creative is an engaged act that requires openness to pure potential and is amplified in supportive and encouraging communities.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Divasonic has been my music producer and artist brand for 25 years. I’ve been blessed with many album and single releases that include dozens of unique collaborations with artists from all kinds of genres.

My greatest musical achievement has been my women’s sound healing and transformational world music group, Sonic Devas. This is a rotating group of women sound healing artists and musicians come together to create large scale concerts and sound journeys devoted to the global transformative music landscape. Our debut studio album, Soul Songs, released in 2024, further defined us as a progressive voice in our genre.

As an artist I am constantly staying open to new inspirations, evolving my practice and creativity, studying new instruments and approaches. As I continue on this path, the wisdom gets deeper and the sounds more refined.

15 years ago, I began studying the vast field of sound healing intensely which led me to develop my own practice and teachings. I’ve been blessed to facilitate hundreds of sound meditation sessions in every conceivable format to thousands of people. My heart lights up seeing the shift that intentional sound creates.

My in depth knowledge as a classical trained musician, recording engineer, producer and sound meditation facilitator led me to create Divasonic Music Academy and six flagship courses dedicated to music education, production and sound healing arts & sciences. I invite you to explore with me through my newly launched online community and subscription platform where you can learn, grown and expand through sound.

The path of the creative isn’t linear or predictable, but that’s the joy and challenge of it. Whether I’m creating alone, in collaboration or coaching, I live for those aha moments, divine connections and creating new forms of beauty from the ether.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

One of the most important character qualities I learned from my family was a consistent and focused work ethic. Not just work for work’s sake, but acting on what you are passionate about and putting consistent, relentless effort towards goals. The idea of building things from the ground up and having the focus to see each step of the process to completion.

Since my passion has been music and the creative arts from very early on, my classical musical training as well as gaining skill in all areas of the music recording and wellness fields and business has prepared me to synthesize unique sounds, intentions, projects and messages in my work. Skill building and learning new musical styles and methods continues now and never gets boring! I think you have to have a love of learning.

When it comes to embarking on a journey into the arts and in my expertise, music, you must have a spark inside that needs to be expressed and then work diligently to bring that into form in reality. If it’s writing a song, there’s the lyrics, the melody, putting together the music and eventually recording or performing this creation. It takes bravery and focus to stay on your mission to express yourself.

It also helps to have a coach that can help steer and encourage you through the process. I’ve coached so many people that have created beautiful expressions of music and sound ceremony. It’s a beautiful thing I love to hold space for.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

I’ve dealt with performance anxiety my whole life. I think it’s important to acknowledge it and not ignore these moments. First and foremost, it’s important to understand that it’s a sign that you deeply care about what you are creating and offering. And then, transmute those momentary insecurities into confident action by taking some deep breaths. Having a daily meditation practice and feeling grounded in my body helps me tackle those moments with more ease. Remind yourself to relax and enjoy the process, instead of worry of something going wrong. Every performance strives for perfection and always winds up having beautiful imperfections.

In terms of feel overwhelmed in general in life or business, a meditation practice helps alleviate inner tension. Feeling overwhelmed can cause lots of unwanted physical and emotional symptoms that will stop all access to creative problem solving. It can be debilatating! Knowing this will help you slow down. Create inner and outer space by giving yourself more rest, exercise and nourishing foods. Then you’ll be recharged to tackle any problems at hand.
