Lynda, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I developed my confidence through a combination of perseverance, faith, and experience. For a long time, I felt like I had to prove myself in every space — as a mother, businesswoman, and leader. My confidence didn’t come from everything going right; it came from learning to stand tall when things went wrong.

Starting my own company and building my personal brand pushed me to speak up, take risks, and trust my instincts. Every “no” taught me that rejection isn’t the end — it’s redirection. Over time, I realized that confidence isn’t about being perfect; it’s about showing up authentically and believing that what you have to offer matters.

My self-esteem grew once I stopped comparing my journey to others and started focusing on purpose over perfection. Now, confidence for me means walking into every room with faith, preparation, and gratitude for how far I’ve already come.

My name is Lynda Carouthers, and I serve as the Team Lead at Carouthers Investment Group powered by Views of Texas Realty. I’m passionate about helping families find homes that fit both their lifestyle and long-term goals. My work extends beyond traditional real estate — I’m currently developing new projects focused on, family support, and community growth.

Real estate gives me the opportunity to help people build stability, create generational wealth, and find spaces that truly feel like home. Every project I lead is guided by purpose, faith, and a commitment to helping others move forward in life with confidence.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are resilience, faith, and adaptability.

Resilience taught me to keep going when things didn’t go as planned. In business and in life, there are always setbacks — but learning how to recover, regroup, and refocus has made all the difference.

Faith has been my foundation. It’s what reminds me that even when I can’t see the whole picture, there’s purpose in every season. Staying rooted in faith helped me make bold moves and trust that the work I’m doing will impact others beyond what I can see.

And adaptability has kept me evolving. Whether it’s shifting markets, new opportunities, or personal transitions, I’ve learned to pivot without losing my purpose.

For anyone early in their journey — focus on progress, not perfection. Be open to learning, stay grounded in your “why,” and remember that growth often happens in the moments that challenge you the most.
