We caught up with the brilliant and insightful LYNDA OSORIO a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi LYNDA, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
My confidence and self-esteem were not built overnight — they were the result of years of discipline, preparation, and the courage to constantly step outside my comfort zone.
From my early career in design, marketing, and business management, I realized that technical knowledge wasn’t enough. What truly opened doors for me was the way I presented myself, the confidence in my voice, and the presence I projected in every room. Still, like many women — and especially as a Latina entrepreneur entering the U.S. market — I had to face self-doubt and moments of insecurity.
What changed everything was understanding that confidence is not something you are born with; it is something you build with practice and intention. I invested in my education, earned international certifications in image consulting, etiquette, and communication, and began applying those principles in my own life. Little by little, I saw how my image, my posture, and my personal brand began to work for me — giving me the credibility to walk into boardrooms, conferences, and international stages with authority.
Today, through my company Power Image LLC in Miami, I help other women entrepreneurs and business leaders do the same: build confidence from the inside out. Confidence is not just about speaking louder; it’s about aligning your appearance, behavior, and communication with your true value. That’s what transforms your self-esteem and allows you to lead with impact.
For me, confidence is now my greatest tool — and teaching women how to master it has become my life’s purpose.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am Lynda Osorio, MBA, an international consultant in personal and corporate image, branding, and marketing strategy. For over 10 years, I’ve worked with more than 10,000 professionals, entrepreneurs, and business leaders across Colombia and the United States, helping them align their appearance, behavior, and communication with the powerful image they want to project.
What makes my work unique is that I combine my background in design, marketing, and business management with my certifications in image consulting, etiquette, and communication skills, which allows me to approach personal branding not just as “style,” but as a strategic tool for visibility, leadership, and growth. My methodology, Capital Visual, is focused on optimizing every touchpoint of the customer journey — from how you look on stage or in front of a camera, to how your brand is perceived online and offline.
Today, I lead Power Image LLC in Miami, Florida, where I specialize in supporting Latina women entrepreneurs and small business owners. I’ve recently launched my flagship program, Imagen de Alto Impacto para Empresarias Latinas — a 6-week intensive mentorship designed to help women leaders strengthen their presence, communicate with authority, and position themselves as the face of their businesses.
What excites me the most is seeing the transformation: women who once doubted themselves become confident, visible, and memorable leaders in their industries. Beyond aesthetics, this work changes lives, builds self-esteem, and drives business growth.
I’m also expanding my work in the U.S. market through conferences, workshops, and community events. For example, this summer I’ve been hosting monthly Brunch & Networking experiences in Miami where women entrepreneurs can learn key strategies of image, communication, and branding while building valuable connections.
Looking ahead, my goal is to continue building bridges for Latina entrepreneurs in the U.S., providing them with the tools to thrive, stand out, and monetize their personal brand in competitive markets.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three Most Important Qualities, Skills, and Areas of Knowledge
Looking back at my journey, I can identify three core qualities that have been essential in building my career as an international image consultant and personal branding strategist:
Discipline and Consistency
From a very young age, discipline has been the foundation of everything I’ve achieved. Whether it was excelling in academics, building my corporate career, or later becoming an entrepreneur, consistency allowed me to keep moving forward even when results weren’t immediate. My advice: discipline is a muscle — you build it daily with small habits. Entrepreneurs should commit to showing up every day, even when motivation fades.
Communication Skills (Verbal and Non-Verbal)
As a consultant in image, public speaking, and non-verbal communication, I learned that how you express yourself often matters as much as what you say. Learning to speak with confidence, maintain strong body language, and project authority has been critical in my success as a speaker and mentor for entrepreneurs. My advice: invest in training, record yourself, get feedback, and work on both your voice and your presence. It will completely change how people perceive your value.
Strategic Vision & Personal Branding Knowledge
My background in design, marketing, and business administration gave me the unique ability to connect the dots between image, branding, and growth. This strategic vision became the foundation of my methodology, Capital Visual, which helps businesses and entrepreneurs align every brand touchpoint with their core values and goals. My advice: think beyond aesthetics. Your brand is not just how you look, it’s how people experience you — online and offline.
💡 For those starting their journey: focus on building discipline first, then develop strong communication skills, and finally, learn to think strategically about your personal brand. These three qualities combined will not only elevate your presence but will also open doors and position you as a leader in your industry.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
One of my greatest challenges today is balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship while expanding my business into a new market like the United States. Coming from Colombia, where I built my career as a consultant, speaker, and mentor, I now face the exciting challenge of positioning my company Power Image in Miami’s competitive business ecosystem.
Being a mother adds another layer of responsibility — I want to be fully present for my son’s education, sports, and milestones, while at the same time leading my programs like Imagen de Alto Impacto and supporting Latina entrepreneurs who also want to strengthen their presence and personal brands.
The way I navigate this challenge is through discipline, clear priorities, and a deep sense of purpose. My role as a mother fuels my mission: I want my son to see that resilience, vision, and faith can turn challenges into opportunities.
For me, expanding into a new country is not just about growing a business, it’s about creating bridges. I use my international experience to connect with women who are building their dreams abroad, and I show them that with the right image, voice, and brand strategy, they can lead and succeed in any market.
