Meet Lynzi Judish

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lynzi Judish. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lynzi below.

Lynzi, so great to have you with us and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with the community. So, let’s jump into something that stops so many people from going after their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. We’d love to hear about how you dealt with that and persisted on your path.
You know, it’s actually taken a long time to get to the point where it doesn’t constantly affect me. For a long time, it hurt my feelings a lot to read commentary on my posts or articles about me that say not so nice things, but what I’ve learned to do is to remind myself that the only opinions that matter are the opinions of those that I love, as well as my own! I’m lucky that I live a very rich life. I’m surrounded by loved ones, and I also have friends and family all over the globe that I’m lucky enough to be very close to. Have a very happy home life with my husband and my dogs. I love the place I live and my home. I feel very connected to my surroundings. I feel very fulfilled in my life. I also have an amazing community of followers on social media that I interact with regularly that are so lovely and supportive. They really feel like my people. So, at the end of the day, I remind myself of all my blessings and it’s a lot easier to not let the opinions of others affect you.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a content creator, primarily on Instagram, and my focus is home content. Of all the work that I post, my most popular is definitely my fridgescaping. It’s something I started doing last year that quickly became a way of life for me. It not only became a hobby that I love and found very fulfilling, it also became very life-changing for me. It inspired me to start my own vegetable garden and grow my own food. Displaying my food made it feel more enticing, and I cook now more than ever before. I eat healthier than I ever have in my lifetime. It has become a true lifestyle for me that has forever changed my health for the better. I love sharing about it because it’s been such a positive experience for me and I hope that it might also have the same effect for others. Even doing it on a small scale can simply spark so much joy. It’s just a really wonderful thing and I love sharing about it. The other thing I love most about the style of content I create is encouraging people to create pockets of joy around their home. There’s no reason you can’t put a photo you love on the inside of your closet door and smile every time you open it. I just feel like sometimes we forget to practice our free will and that we can decorate our lives however we like! There’s no limit to self-expression!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
As far as skills go, I have a bachelors degree in photography, which has been immensely helpful in this career. I take photos and videos of everything I create, and I think having the ability to portray that in an artistic way has been really helpful. I think creativity is something you need in spades in this type of career. I think everyone has the capability to be creative even if they don’t think they can, it’s just a matter of allowing yourself to think outside of the box. It also has a lot to do with setting limitations for yourself, which you absolutely should not! A “reach for the stars” attitude will serve you well! That’s sort of two things there. So, for me, I think the combination of my photography skills, creativity, and believing I can accomplish anything I set my mind to has gone a long way for me. For someone just starting, my biggest pieces of advice are to always be authentic to what you personally love and create with the thought in mind that you can make anything happen. For example, if I think of a project I want to do in my home and I look at it and something feels like an impossibility, I try to think outside of the box. I’m a big advocate of when there’s a will there’s a way, it’s just a matter of finding creative solutions. My point is do not set limitations on yourself and always create things that are uniquely your own. No one else can do what you do!

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
Definitely my husband! He has always been so supportive of everything I do and he’s always in my corner. He has a lot of any qualities that have rubbed off on me and help immensely in this line of work. He has a thing about him where he innately believes he can accomplish anything. He just has a blind confidence in himself and we’ll figure out how to do whatever task even if he has no knowledge in that field. He’s an engineer and has that kind of brain and I’ve always really admired that quality about him. He’s really encouraged me to adopt that mindset over the years and has helped me become more confident in my ability to create.
