We were lucky to catch up with M. Rafaela Sandoval recently and have shared our conversation below.
M. Rafaela, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I primarily seek wisdom from God’s Word, as His guidance surpasses human understanding in all aspects of life.
Life can be quite challenging, and we all encounter difficult situations. Many people fear failure, but I have come to realize that failure sometimes is a crucial part of achievement.
I have learned more from my failures than from my victories.
This mindset keeps me humble, grounded, and resilient.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Everything in life is temporary.
Our possessions are temporary, our jobs or careers are temporary, our loved ones are temporary, we are temporary.
When we leave this earth, we will not take anything with us, not finances or possessions.
I thank God for the skills and talents, and the beautiful family He has blessed me with.
For as long as I exist, I will continue to perform my tasks and responsibilities with love, enthusiasm, and dedication,
However, my primary goal is to serve the Lord and share the good news of salvation, He is my savior, my healer, my provider, all my words fall short describing His goodness.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I truly believe that the first step on any meaningful journey is discovering your true purpose in life.
It’s amazing to seek guidance from the Lord to help light our way!
For anyone starting on their journey, I encourage you to stay open-minded and ready to learn. Embracing the possibility of failure isn’t something to fear; it’s a chance to grow!
It is important to avoid comparing yourself to others. Measuring your worth against someone else can lead to negative feelings, whether it’s feeling less than or overly competitive.
While it’s great to find inspiration from others, keep the focus on your journey!
And let’s not forget that success is not just about making money.
Holding on to that idea alone can lead to unhappiness in the long run.
True success is about finding fulfillment and purpose in what you do.
And lastly, everything on this earth is temporary, let’s always remember that.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
Book: Holy Bible
In this book I find guidance, peace, love, purpose, stability, strength, rest. and God’s promises.
