Self discipline seems to have an outsized impact on how someone’s life plays out and so we’d love to hear about how you developed yours?
Self-discipline for me stems from a deep understanding of the importance of self-care. In the whirlwind of the music industry, taking care of myself is crucial. Music has been my lifeline, not just creatively, but also in staying connected to my body. It’s where I find solace, where I can express myself fully. Whether it’s through the lyrics I write or the melodies I compose, music has this incredible ability to ground me, to remind me of the importance of listening to my body’s needs. It’s my therapy, my meditation, my escape. So, self-discipline, to me, is not just about pushing myself to work harder, but also about listening to myself, about finding balance, about nurturing my mind and body so that I can continue to create and share my music with the world.

Absolutely! As an independent Mexican artist, my focus has always been on creating music that resonates deeply with people. What excites me the most about my artistic career is the opportunity to connect with listeners on a profound level, to evoke emotions and spark conversations through my music.

I believe what sets my music apart is its authenticity and sincerity. I pour my heart and soul into every song, drawing inspiration from my personal experiences, emotions, and observations of the world around me. My goal is to create music that not only entertains but also resonates with people on a human level, touching their hearts and minds.

Recently, I’ve been particularly excited about the release of my fifth album, “Amor Nuvó,” which explores themes of love, nostalgia, and personal growth. Each song on the album represents a chapter in my journey as an artist and as a person, and I’m thrilled to share these stories with my audience.

In addition to my music, I’m also passionate about using my platform to uplift and empower others. Whether it’s through my involvement in music festivals or my support for various social causes, I strive to make a positive impact in the world around me.

Looking ahead, I’m excited about the upcoming premiere of the music video for my latest single, “Te Quedas con Todo,” which delves into the spirit of the 1960s and explores themes of impossible and toxic loves. I can’t wait to share this visual representation of the song with my fans and continue to connect with them through my music.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey, I believe there are three qualities that have been most impactful: resilience, authenticity, and continuous learning.

Firstly, resilience has been crucial. The music industry can be challenging and filled with setbacks, but it’s essential to keep pushing forward despite obstacles. Developing resilience means learning to bounce back from failures, rejections, and disappointments, and using them as opportunities for growth.

Secondly, authenticity has been key to connecting with my audience. Being true to myself and my artistic vision has allowed me to create music that resonates deeply with people. I’ve learned that authenticity is not only about staying true to my artistic integrity but also about being genuine and transparent in my interactions with others.

Lastly, continuous learning has been essential in my journey. The music industry is constantly evolving, so it’s crucial to stay curious and open-minded, always seeking new knowledge and skills. Whether it’s honing my songwriting abilities, learning new production techniques, or staying updated on industry trends, I’m committed to lifelong learning.

For those early in their journey, my advice is to embrace these qualities and focus on developing them:

3. Never stop learning and growing. Stay curious, explore new ideas, and continually seek opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills. The more you invest in your personal and professional development, the more you’ll be able to achieve in your journey as an artist.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
First and foremost, my family has been incredibly supportive and encouraging since the beginning. Their unwavering belief in my talent and their constant encouragement have given me the strength and confidence to pursue my dreams, even when faced with obstacles.

Friends within the music industry have been indispensable allies on this journey. These fellow artists understand the unique challenges and triumphs that come with pursuing a career in music, providing a supportive network and a shared sense of camaraderie.

Collaboration with these friends has been a significant catalyst for growth and learning. By working together on projects, sharing experiences, and exchanging insights, we’ve been able to learn from each other’s strengths and weaknesses, expanding our skill sets and pushing each other to new heights creatively.
