Meet Maggie xUE

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Maggie XUE. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Maggie below.

Maggie , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I developed my confidence and self-esteem by failing, trying, and doing the things I was not familiar with and was afraid of. I think as I try to figure things out and solve problems during these processes, it really made me realize that you can always find a way to overcome challenges in my life.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am the founder of Us Two Tea. We are a premium farm-to-cup Asian tea brand. We want to make tea culture more accessible to people in the U.S and to speak to them in a way that coffee connects people here: inclusive, welcoming and accessible.

“Us Two” means the two of us. It’s about celebrating all sorts of relationships and connecting people together. We want to celebrate all the small moments in life that give us the greatest joy – a kiss, a smile, a laugh, or a burst of creativity – alone or in the company of those we love.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Being Delusional, Problem-solving, Hustle.

Entrepreneurship is hard, you will face many challenges along the way, sometimes a few in one week and sometimes a few in one hour. I think having a network of people who are also founders can be super helpful because it is almost like a support group, You can exchange information and share tips, but most importantly have someone to talk to about your struggles.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
I go to a workout class or go for a walk to clear my mind. When you are feeling overwhelmed, it is super easy to get stuck in your head, so getting out of the house and getting some good sweat or being in nature really will help calm your mind and release some of the stress and tension.
