Mahkari , thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?

I learned how to be effective/successful being when i’m the only one in the room in the room that looks like me, by developing myself when i’m the only one in the mirror. Being aware of who I am helps me bring light to other people in the room who wants to effective/successful that also may look different from me

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I desire to be a musical artist! with that my reasoning being is because I simply love creating music and it makes me feel full as a person when i do so, I have already achieved my dream as an artist starting from a kid to just wanting to go in the studio to make music which i have done. I definitely desire recognition and notoriety for my music but that’s not the soul so purpose of why i do it. I do it simply because i love it!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I have developed a skill of being able to just think through tough decisions before making them. i once felt i had to think so rationally and in a hurry in order to do things how they are supposed to be done, Now just slowly but
efficiently going through whatever situation at hand with slower and thought out way of thinking works for me
