Meet Mahogany Stylez

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mahogany Stylez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Mahogany, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I come from a family of hard working blue collar professionals. Growing up I observed my parents, aunts and uncle work hard and diligently to hold their families down, so I believe the work ethic is routed in me. What taught me applicably was my very first job, at Dunkin Donuts. That set the foundation for my work ethic. I learned to take pride in my work, deliver service with a smile, because of course if you, you lose nothing, I learned order and structure, discipline and delivery of sound customer service. And I’ve bought those ideologies with me on my path ever since. Now, I recognition the deepest value of those ideologies and how they have shaped my success today.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am a Rapper/Songwriter, Lifestyle Curator, Serial Entrepreneur, and CEO of Hippie Stixx Co.. What’s most unique about my dynamic is there are not a lot of female rappers desiring to dominate in BOTH the business arena and Creative Arena. That’s my goal, my desire. There is a tonality that you are not allowed, or unable to both. I deeply disagree and my whole entire brand is centered around the ability to both. It IS possible and the Mahogany Stylez brand is here to show and prove it is through my own journey.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1. Discipline
2. Focus
3. A lack of fear

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

Let me express myself creatively from the jump. They provided me freedom of Self Expression, and that allowed me to think outside of the box. It is that thinking outside the box mentality that helped me be bold enough to manifest the dreams that came to me and continue to come to me. I’m giving my daughter the same right now, as a result, with confidence in knowing she’ll be able to play out her wildest dreams, like Mommy did.
