Meet Malaina Miller

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Malaina Miller. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Malaina below.

Malaina, thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.

I was one who was raised on love, not survival. The way I look at situations and resolutions is different than most. I dont just look for a solution but I also look for one that others or myself wont get hurt by in any way. You can be generous and caring, yet still be stern and not a pushover.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My “9 to 5” is in the mental health field so it only felt right for me to revamp my business to something I believe is more my calling. I’m trying to spread more awareness to mental health in POC communities as well as promote self care with lip/body products infused with hemp oil. I’m really excited and I believe my business could really make you feel better inside out.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I would say 3 things that have impacted my journey are motherhood, depression, and falling in love with myself all over again. I was only 19 when I had my first child but I instantly kicked into “mommy mode”. I knew every decision I made from that moment on was not only about me, but my child as well. When I gave birth to my last child, I was 24. However, unlike my first pregnancy, I had postpartum after this one. Fighting through that depression alone is one of the reasons why I go so hard for mental health awareness now! I still have my moments but once I got my glow back, the feeling was unexplainable! I just want to help others overcome similar issues so they can have that glow as well.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I’m definitely looking for others to collab with that are comfortable to chat with me about their own mental health and self-care journeys. The best way to reach me would be either via email at [email protected] or my instagram @_lusciouslifestyle .
