Hi Manda and Lauren, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

We come from a proud family-owned business background! Our family ran a grocery store, and growing up, we spent our days slicing deli meat, bagging groceries, knowing customers by name, and giving back to the community. Those experiences taught us the true meaning of hard work and the value of a strong work ethic.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Cleanliness is at the heart of everything we do. As an acrylic-free and jet-free salon, we specialize in regular polish, gel polish, gel extensions, and pedicures. We prioritize using hospital-grade disinfectants to thoroughly clean between each guest, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment. Our goal is to help you achieve the natural nails of your dreams, all while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.

Additionally, our top priority has always been—and will always be—our employees. The nail salon industry is unfortunately one of the highest-risk sectors for human trafficking and is often criticized for failing to provide livable wages, proper benefits, and a supportive work environment. We knew we had to take a different approach and create a safe, empowering space for our team. We’re proud to offer benefits, including paid time off, maternity leave, health insurance, and more.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in our journey have been resilience, adaptability, and building strong relationships.

Resilience is about pushing through challenges and viewing obstacles as opportunities to grow. Adaptability comes from staying open to change and embracing new experiences. Building authentic relationship and creating a safe space for our employees has been key—listen actively, provide value, and seek mentorship.

For those starting out, be patient and consistent. Growth takes time, but small steps add up. Stay curious, welcome feedback, and celebrate your progress along the way!
