Meet Mandy Joan

We recently connected with Mandy Joan and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Mandy, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?

I think my generosity comes from a mix of how I was raised and the values that have been instilled in me—especially through my Catholic faith. From a young age, I was taught that kindness isn’t just something you show when it’s convenient, but something you live by, daily. My faith has always emphasized compassion, service to others, and the belief that we’re all connected in a bigger, more meaningful way. I genuinely feel that giving—whether it’s time, love, or support—is one of the most beautiful ways to honor God and reflect His love in the world. It’s not about recognition; it’s about doing what’s right, even when no one’s watching.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Thank you so much for asking! What I do really centers around connection—whether it’s through art, storytelling, or simply sharing pieces of my life in a way that makes others feel seen, comforted, or inspired. I pour a lot of heart into everything I create, and I think what makes it special is the intention behind it. It’s never just about a product or a post—it’s about emotion, meaning, and making people feel less alone in what they’re going through.

What excites me most is the ability to use creativity as a form of healing—not just for myself, but hopefully for others too. Whether I’m writing, working on a new visual piece, or collaborating with a brand I love, I always want it to feel real. Like you’re talking to a friend who genuinely cares.

Right now, I’m working on a few new things that I’m so excited about! (I can’t share everything just yet, but stay tuned!) There’s something really special about creating something from the heart and watching it resonate with people you’ve never even met.

At the end of the day, my “brand” is just me—deeply human, always evolving, and incredibly grateful for every opportunity to connect.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities that have truly shaped my journey are emotional intelligence, resilience, and intentionality.

Emotional intelligence has helped me connect more deeply—with myself, with others, and with the work I put into the world. It’s allowed me to lead with empathy, to truly listen, and to create in a way that resonates on a heart level.

Resilience has been my anchor. The creative path isn’t always linear, and it certainly isn’t always easy. There are quiet seasons, setbacks, and moments of doubt—but learning how to keep showing up, to pivot when needed, and to stay grounded in my “why” has been everything.

Lastly, Curiosity has kept me open—open to learning, growing, evolving, and trying new things even when they felt unfamiliar or a little intimidating. It’s the spark behind every new idea and the reason I’ve been able to stay creatively inspired over time.

For anyone just starting out, my biggest advice is this: give yourself permission to grow slowly. Focus on self-awareness, get curious about what lights you up, and don’t be afraid to ask for help or mentorship. Invest in yourself—not just professionally, but emotionally and spiritually too. The journey is just as important as the destination.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Yes, I’m always open to thoughtful collaborations—especially with individuals who share mutual values, creative synergy, and a genuine passion for meaningful work. I’m particularly drawn to artists, visionaries, and storytellers—people who lead with intention and are committed to creating work that resonates, uplifts, or inspires.

Whether you’re a fellow creative, a brand with aligned ideals, or someone who simply believes in the power of authentic connection, I’d love to hear from you. Collaboration, to me, is most powerful when it’s rooted in shared purpose and mutual respect.
