We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mansi Modi a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Mansi , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
Believe in your achievements, people and things in your life that you are proud of. Acknowledge your personal strengths and talents, and remind yourself of them often. When i first moved to United states my self esteem was very low, i didn’t feel like i fit in anywhere. i was worried about the way i looked but those are the things that affect you when you’re younger. i made couple of new friends in high school who helped me dress how i liked and when you start exploring and knowing your surroundings it just gets easier after that. Forward to 15 years later now i dress however i want to and feel good about it. Furthermore, as a Fashion Designer its always fashion and comfort that comes above everything. In regards to confidence its about believing in yourself, understanding and accepting of who you are and be proud of it. I am not a loudest person in the room but that doesnt mean i dont feel confident inside. I think accepting who you are and being proud of anything which makes you different is very important, there is only one version of yourself. My husband plays a big role in my self esteem and confidence. Him and my son are my biggest cheerleaders. Any achievements small or big they have the same excitement every time. Something that can really affect our self-esteem and confidence are the people we surround ourselves with, especially our family and friends.

My name is Mansii Modi, i am the founder and designer of Geometrix Fashion Hut, specializing in haute couture. my brand focuses on custom wear designer pieces but also releases ready to wear collection pieces couple of times a year.
Our primary focus for the fashion brand was to give customers the option of custom clothing based on their budget, from designing sketches to selecting fabrics and more. Our brand’s ideal customer is every woman, we want all women to feel confident and stylish at the same time. We design for all shapes and sizes…we feel fashion should not be limited to certain sizes.
We launched our resort wear/swim collection at Miami swim week 2022. We are currently in production for our 2 biggest collections ever which will be launched at NYFW 2024 and Paris Fashion week 2024. We cant wait to do our greatest show yet at New York fashion week. We have also launched our line at independent designer stores in NY, London, Vegas and more on the way. We are also in process of launching our Meta Fashion which is a digital platform for fashion industry.
The monochrome color palette is a constant in the seasonal fashion cycle, so we seeks to provide timeless, ageless, seasonless and versatile pieces for our customers’ wardrobes.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three most important qualities that helped me along the way professionally is communication, flexibility, and leadership. I feel in every industry or even in personal aspect communication helps us better understand people and situations. It helps us overcome diversities, build trust and respect, and create conditions for sharing creative ideas and solving problems. The only advice i would love to give to folks who are early on is to “just have fun”. do what you love with all your heart and rest just falls in place. Be honest with your work and your customers.
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
My husband always and forever. He was my #1 from the day i started this journey. Always supportive, always cheering, always kind and above all always by my side thru everything. Even when the things are not going the way they are suppose to he would just say we will overcome it, i know you can do it, everything will be okay. Those little things mean a great deal for me. It makes you believe that you someone by your side every step of the way. My son also now as soon as he sees any new collection pieces is immediately says wow mommy. He wants to be the first person to see my newest pieces and always by his daddy cheering the loudest for his mommy.
