Hi Marbelin, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

My optimism is rooted in resilience, courage, and a deep sense of self-motivation that fuels both my work and my passion. It also stems from self-awareness and my life journey—growing up on food banks in a small mobile home in the suburbs of Illinois. These experiences taught me humility and the importance of staying grounded, always aware of the world around me and never seeing myself as more deserving than others.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Recently I rebranded from “Beauty Beauticians” to “Marbeluxe Beauty” to reflect something more personal and aligned with the luxury experience I aim to create for my clients. I’ve been focusing on the small details that turn each appointment into more than just a service—it becomes an experience. What excites me most is being able to make someone feel truly beautiful, even with the smallest change. I’m genuinely grateful for everyone who chooses to book with me, and I’m proud of the growing clientele I’m building. Word of mouth and social media have both played a major role in my continued growth and connection with new clients.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities that have been essential in my journey are being resourceful, gaining exposure, and understanding the value of a strong social media presence. Each of these has played a key role in helping me build and continuously grow my brand. It hasn’t been easy, and growth takes time—but creativity and the willingness to take risks have made a big difference.

My advice to anyone on their own path is to stay open to learning. Don’t get stuck in old habits—explore new products, try different techniques, and always look for ways to expand your skillset. The more knowledge and experience you gain, the more value you bring to your business.
