We were lucky to catch up with Marc & Chelsea Brasefield recently and have shared our conversation below.
Marc & Chelsea , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
People have always expressed my talent for creativity and art. I realized I could use that skill that God has blessed me with as a way to not only create a small business, but spread God’s word at the same time. Through our apparel business, we have the ability to plant seeds and share the good news to people we may never have been able to teach before. -Marc
Although being able to stay at home with our children is a blessing and God has been showing me that being a SAHM is kingdom work, I felt as though there was more I could do. Compared to Marc, I’m more of an introvert but I know the only way to spread the good news is to talk about it so I prayed about what I could do and it led me to apparel. -Chelsea

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
This brand was created to display and share our love for Christ. We fully believe in who He is and His word. Our hope is that this brand will be a consistent reminder that God receives the glory and without Him, all is void. We also offer custom apparel for small businesses.
What I find most exciting about it is that it’s something we created together. – Marc
I think what’s most special about it is that we are able to use our creativity along with the Gospel to create beautiful pieces that will be able to be conversation starters. -Chelsea

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Creativity, production accuracy, and trust in God are three skills/qualities that have been most impactful thus far in our journey.
The best way to improve is to practice and keep going. Even when things feel out of place, you have to keep going. If God calls you to pause, rest in that, and then continue when it is time. -Chelsea
We each have skills and abilities that are unique to us as individuals. Using that talent to build something that is yours. -Marc

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
My number one obstacle is getting more comfortable promoting our company on social media. To resolve this, I am being less critical of myself, especially with the videos I record of myself speaking. I think authenticity is important so I want to make sure I am not trying to be too “perfect”. As long as the message gets across, that’s what matter to me. – Chelsea
The number one obstacle I am facing is the fear of the business growing too fast for us to handle. To combat it, I always turn to God for guidance and trust that He will never give us more than we can handle. -Marc
