Meet Marc Cunningham

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Marc Cunningham. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Marc below.

Marc, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I like that you use the word Purpose. I think many of us confuse passion for purpose. It’s in every CV you’ve ever seen. I was no exception. Passion is fiery and magnetic but it is often purpose-less. Purpose to me is a series of unearthing the elements of your life that bring you intrinsic fulfillment and making space for them to merge into a single driving force in your life. This means offering yourself the space and time to grow into your purpose. For me, it was the elements of creativity, self-expression, mindfulness, and collaboration. Along this journey was heartbreak, a brush with mortality, and a primordial yearning to find my voice. And they all merged into my pursuit of filmmaking, and storytelling.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I have spent the last four years, building my production company and creative agency into a force for collaborative and creative good. Our mission as a collective of creators from all walks of life is to create work that reflects the world we’ve nurtured for ourselves. An international confluence of diverse people and ideas.

“We strive to create the art we want to see in the world.” That’s our mission.

Part of that pursuit is that on top of building a company from scratch, I’m also developing my next short film. We are looking for Private Equity Funding and collaborators who will see this film as part of a larger vision for the world of cinema.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Mindfulness, Patience, and Discipline.

Mindfulness to build on your clarity, strength, stability, and a deeper relationship with your intuition. Intuition is an ancient source of personal wisdom. I recommend getting acquainted with it.

Patience isn’t as sexy a term as perseverance or persistence but it incorporates both within a cradle of gentleness and kindness. You’re going to need lots of gentleness to endure the ebb and flow of life.

Discipline is the backbone of focus and longevity. It is a series of positive habits you can fall back on, especially in moments when your emotions are running wild as they are known to do.

I believe if you combine these three things you’ll find the right kind of success no matter what you’re striving towards.

Hunter Thompson said, “Beware of looking for goals: look for a way of life.” Look for a way of life. That’s the best advice I could ever dare to give.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
We increased revenue by 100% last year, and I am currently looking for partners and collaborators in funding and sales. People with the money or the experience to raise capital along with marketers and sales reps who can help build on my existing eco-system of creatives and infrastructure to find brands and commercial partners to work with and grow our revenue. We’ve made great strides with our current clients, and now it’s time to expand beyond word of mouth and my direct network. It’s truly, a very exciting period in our development.
