Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Marci Javril. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Marci, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
My dear Mom was such an angel, she hardly ever contradicted my desires. When I would say ” I want to do this now, instead of that”, her answer was usually “why that’s marvelous! what can I do to support your new idea?” This happened over and over throughout my teens and twenties. Wow. Until I grew older, into my thirties and forties, I had no idea how rare this kind of unconditional LOVE was in most children’s lives.
In my youth, I was impassioned to pursue everything and anything. And thus, my life path wove itself into a tapestry. I became a renaissance woman, entrepreneur, solo traveler, and community teacher. Each endeavor I tried, I continued to find satisfaction, and yet impatience for more. This is how I have ceaselessly engaged with so many projects, performances, classes, processes, festivals, and communities. Some of my circles have lasted a short time, and some are a life long thread. Some have been profitable and some have been frustrating. Yet because of my Mother’s endearing encoragement every step of the way (she passed when I was 63), I’ve never stopped trying something new!
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I have developed many paths of education involving dance, drum, art, theatre, video, special effects, and creative collaborations. My next project is one that has been awaiting launch for 15 + years, as I have been accumulating and developing the content of this Home Study Course.
Abundant Vitality: The 5 Keys to Rejuvenation + 20 TransformActions for radiant longevity. (student handbook)
These activities, exercises and practices are derived from years of personal transformation, yoga studies, massage & bodywork, movement therapy, and counseling. As a student of Life, seeking diverse trainings to rebalance my life, I learned how to discard old habits, rewire my programming, and embrace healthy lifestyle habits. I am living proof you can have great resilience, endurance, and energy as you mature. (I’m 70+ yrs).
Joyous outbursts, growing pains, self destructive habits to release, and tears of enragement were poured out of me as I moved through my personal quest for a better, healthier life. I have written these out for you, just follow my step by step instructions and you can activate your full potential in every dimension!
Now, I want to bring this Course to others, for self development, solo inquiry, anti-aging, and joy in living! I need help deciphering the best method for this, and so I am looking for guidance… If the HandBook is an APP or an online Course…? should it be only an audio book, or videos to watch…? If I make it InPerson, should I design it for Zoom, Hybrid, or Classroom…?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Persistence 2. Adaptivity 3. Patience (bonus points 4. Humility)
Persistence to discover the groundwork of where you want to go. Do the research your DUE DILIGENCE, find out what qualifications you may need, who to contact, do some networking, find people who are already there, doing something sinmilar, and see what parts you want to emulate or change for your own path. You gotta keep taking action over and over!
Adaptivity to be a collaborator, listen to input from others, be discriminating, invite teamwork, mull things over, ask the What If questions, look for solutions that my not be traditional or usual. It takes a MacGyver attitude!
Patience with YOURSELF most of all, understand the small steps that build to larger things. Take the time to do it right the first time, get the right materials, if needed, wait til you can afford them, you may need to scrap the old ideas and bring in the new ones., which takes time. It’s a long term investment, takes TIME!
Humility – never forget, you stand on the shoulders of those who came before you – your teachers, parents, students, friends and frenemies. Hope these pointers help you understand how nothing happens overnight, it’s all built on what you’ve done before, even if it was long ago. And many things will seem to click like magic, but that’s because of your CONNECTION TO OTHERS. Stay humble, stay openminded, and be sure to ACKNOWLEDGE what others have shared with you. Gratitude leads to true Happiness.
