Meet Marcus Johnson

We were lucky to catch up with Marcus Johnson recently and have shared our conversation below.

Marcus , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

My work ethic come from my parents watched them bring us from Alabama to Missouri. My father who is my hero worked continuously everyday to make a way for us and even worked on his birthday! Never saw him complain or have his head down. True leaders in my life. Also my Grandfather who was entrepreneur back in the day, so I’m here to finish all that was Started!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m a Detailer here in St Louis. 11 years of business. Shop & Mobile with Membership that saves my customer money. 4 years awarded with experience in dealerships plus more. Some services we provide are paint corrections, oxidation removal, ceramic coatings, rim rash and color change, and engine cleans. What I feel is special is bringing a customer vehicle back to life and hearing the excitement or cherishing special moments that means so much to a customer. Things to know is we just pushed our New Fall & Winter Membership with pick up and drop off service’s available. Soon we will drop our New Spray Scent, Hanging Air Fresheners, Clothing plus more. We really take care of our customers and definitely looking to connect with businesses with Fleets! We don’t judge, we clean.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Skill set continues when in business, adapt and learn what you want to bring to the world. Never rush because you see the next succeeding faster. Stay creative and understand your vision plus knowing your doing this for self or if have a family you want to see live a different life. Be ready to fall but learn from mistakes because that’s when you really learn what to do and not. If truly gifted in what you do, show out and yes you will have haters but that only means you’re doing something right. Distractions are everywhere but don’t forget your Finish Line.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

Most helpful through my journey is first The Most High Yah, have to learn to listen. Second is my wife she has been by my side through all and much of my creativity is produced from her. I taught her the game of detailing and now we work as one. Last thing I want to mention is networking who really fits or can bring you out of your comfort zone.
