Meet Marcus T. Evans

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Marcus T. Evans. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Marcus T. , we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?

For self-care, I focus on activities that nourish my mind, body, and spirit. This includes spending time in prayer and reflection, photography as a creative outlet, and maintaining a balance between work, ministry, and personal time.

These practices have significantly impacted my effectiveness by helping me stay centered, reduce stress, and remain focused on my goals. They provide a sense of peace and rejuvenation, allowing me to approach my commitments with clarity, energy, and purpose.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am passionate about photography, videography and ministry, seeing them as interconnected aspects of my life that allow me to serve and connect with people in meaningful ways. As the founder of M T Evans Photography, I specialize in event photography that captures the essence of memorable moments. My photography journey began as a means of healing and finding peace after a challenging motorcycle accident, and it has grown into a business that combines creativity with purpose.

What excites me most about my work is the opportunity to create lasting memories for my clients while also using my platform to inspire and uplift through my ministry work. Recently, I’ve expanded my brand to include creative content direction with Birmingham Jumpstart, where I serve as the Director of Creator Content. Additionally, I’m working on a new e-book aimed at helping young, aspiring photographers develop their skills.

Looking ahead, I’m focused on launching new products, such as inspirational apparel featuring my photography brand, and expanding my reach through combined marketing strategies that showcase both my artistic and spiritual passions. My goal is to build a community around my work that celebrates creativity, faith, and the power of storytelling.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are resilience, adaptability, and the ability to connect with people.

1. **Resilience** has been crucial in facing setbacks, whether it was recovering from my motorcycle accident or navigating the challenges of building a business and a ministry simultaneously. Resilience has helped me stay focused on my goals, even when the path wasn’t clear or easy. My advice for those early in their journey is to embrace challenges as opportunities to grow and to develop a mindset that sees setbacks as temporary and surmountable.

2. **Adaptability** has allowed me to pivot and adjust as needed, whether in photography, ministry, or managing multiple commitments. The world is always changing, and the ability to adapt to new circumstances, tools, and trends has been essential for staying relevant and effective. I encourage others to remain open to learning, embrace change, and be willing to step outside their comfort zone to find new paths to success.

3. **Connecting with people** is at the heart of everything I do, from capturing moments in photography to delivering meaningful messages through ministry. Building genuine relationships and understanding others’ needs has been a foundation for my work. For those starting, I recommend focusing on building authentic connections and nurturing them. Take time to listen, engage, and understand the people you want to serve or collaborate with.

By developing resilience, adaptability, and people skills, you can navigate your journey with confidence and purpose, no matter the field you’re in.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I’m always looking for opportunities to partner and collaborate with individuals and organizations that share a passion for creativity, community, and purpose-driven work. I am particularly interested in collaborating with other photographers, creatives, event organizers, and nonprofit organizations who are looking to capture meaningful moments, tell compelling stories, and make a positive impact through visual content.

I welcome partnerships with venues, brands, and businesses looking to elevate their events and marketing through high-quality photography and creative content strategies. I also seek to collaborate with other ministers and faith-based organizations to create content that inspires and uplifts.

If interested in collaborating, feel free to reach out through my photography website Mtevansbooking.com or connect with me on social media Facebook marcus Evans or Instagram mtevansphotography. Let’s explore how we can work together to create something impactful!
