Hi Marcus (Wicked-T) & Eddie (Sin-X), so excited to have you with us today, particularly to get your insight on a topic that comes up constantly in the community – overcoming creativity blocks. Any thoughts you can share with us?
Both me and my brother have had bouts of writers block, the first time I experienced it was on our 5 album. I got 4 songs in and just couldn’t get creative with my writing, but one thing that seemed to help me get over it was taking a break and decompressing… I took about a week off from writing and watched movies, listened to some new music and went to six flags with family and it seemed to do the trick. After all that I got back into the studio and the block was gone. I remember when my brother Eddie Sin-X Tamez had went thru a writers block during a crucial time when we had a deadline to meet with an ep we had to release and I remember clearly he told me he was having a bad case of writers block.. he couldn’t seem to get past it. He said he found inspiration after he took a long walk and just didn’t think about trying to write. Both us agree though,if you ever find yourself with a bad case of writers block just take a break remove yourself from the project for a little , go for a walk, watch a movie and try to reset by focusing on something else.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
We opened up our business Rabble Rouza Records officially in 2016, we are located in Arlington Texas and offer distribution, marketing and graphic design services for musicians across the Dfw. Our record label was established as an extended part of our music group Heretic Klick. We are a very unique record label because not only do we offer studio time, we offer a crash course to artist that are just beginning. We offer a two week class that covers marketing, graphic design, bookings and distribution it’s a great class to take if your just getting started in music. As musicians ourselves we’ve had alot of ups and downs and we incorporate all that we learned into the class so that our clients can get a great start to there careers.

Aside from our business at Rabble Rouze Records, we have our group Heretic Klick that we established back in 2005 we have been very successful and have a strong following and made great connections with fellow artist we currently have an album (Devils with Halo’s) set to release in late December, it will be our 14th studio album.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back at our journey I think the three qualities, skills and areas of knowledge that were most impactful were learning the industry and how it works, finding mentors that share there knowledge and never giving up. Having that persistence to keep going no matter what people said. The music industry is a very volatile industry and finding longevity is not that easy. We’ve had to go thru alot of denial and rejection, alot of failure and let downs to get to where we are at know. And even now there are still let downs but when you love something and you know that it’s what your destine for you don’t quit. The best alive we have for folks in the early stages.of there careers is always believe your gonna be successful, work super hard for it and never give up.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
The most impactful thing our parents did for us, and it was super important to us, was believing in us like we believed in us, They supported everything we did as musicians and as business owners. There support really gave us the confidence to keep going when things got hard. Our parents both loved music alot and we definitely get our love from music from both of em, I remember our mother would always tell all her friends about our music and she would always come up with ideas of what kind of songs we should make. She always told us we would be successful. Our father was just as supportive man we can’t begin to tell yall how much that helped us.
