Meet Mārcy Mārcy

We recently connected with Mārcy Mārcy and have shared our conversation below.

Mārcy, so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?

That was never a easy thing for me, I have been always struggling with my insecurities and anxiety, but there is a point in life where you stop a moment and literally could see what you are and the value of your person, this moment is important and must be kept in our minds.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I was born in Lanusei a small town in sardinia, in 1998
when I was 10 years old my family moved to Pavia and later in 2013 to Berlin.
I make music in life, and Berlin is precisely the city that has most conditioned my way of experiencing art in general.
Growing up with different styles of music, I have always searched for a hardcore form that fulfills me, and I think Berlin has fully represented this feeling and search.

I’m a Rapper but a dj as well.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Discipline, perseverance, awareness

time will always take its course but to get more you must do more, push your limits, you must not wait, nothing is ever taken for granted.

What would you advise – going all in on your strengths or investing on areas where you aren’t as strong to be more well-rounded?

I think we always have to improve what we don’t like, so if there is something that we are not able to do partly or completely the trying to do it, succeeding and improving the way for me is the basis.
personal example, during a singing lesson with my vocal coach I asked to try a song, she very sincerely told me okay but we have to work on what you can’t do yet, what you can do is already there just needs to be pampered sometimes.
