Meet Marena Seidel

We were lucky to catch up with Marena Seidel recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Marena, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

The concept of “purpose” is an interesting one to me. I truly believe that, as souls, we come to Earth with both individual and collective missions. At its core, our shared purpose is simply to experience life. But when it comes to purpose as a personal mission, my journey to discovering it was anything but straightforward.

For a long time, I didn’t have the awareness or capacity to even hold the idea of purpose—my vision was clouded by childhood and life trauma. I’ve also come to believe that purpose isn’t necessarily one fixed thing. Instead, we move through multiple missions in life, all woven together by an overarching theme that connects to a greater vision.

What ultimately opened me up to embracing my own path was working with plant medicines. These experiences allowed me to explore my personal story on a deeper level, uncover the root causes of my suffering, and illuminate a path toward healing and growth. Psychedelics, of course, aren’t a shortcut—they don’t do the work for you. But integrating the lessons from these experiences has been instrumental in helping me step into my purpose and align with the missions that feel most true to me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

At the heart of my work is a deep desire to create outer impact through inner transformation. I help people reconnect with their own power, reclaim their sovereignty, and establish a life and business that align with their true nature. My work bridges the personal and the collective—I guide individuals through psychedelic integration and self-discovery while also supporting conscious entrepreneurs in bringing their visionary projects to life through strategic consulting and project management.

I consider myself a leader and a wayshower for a new way of working and doing business—one that moves beyond extractive, outdated capitalistic models and instead builds systems in alignment with nature, sustainability, and human well-being. We are in a time of profound transformation, where we have the opportunity to create structures that allow people to thrive rather than be treated like machines. I believe in integrating new technologies consciously, using them as tools to support the change we want to see rather than as mechanisms for unchecked power and control.

My approach is deeply holistic. I weave human design into my work, offering clients insights into their energetic blueprint to help them navigate life and business in a way that feels aligned and sustainable. Beyond my coaching and consulting work, I am also an artist. Painting connects me deeply to my soul—it is a way for me to express both my inner world and the beauty I perceive in the outer world through the frequencies of color.

At the core of everything I do is a call to return to our innate humanness—to honor our nature as beings of both spirit and form. I stand for a world that nurtures the soul’s purpose while embracing innovation in a way that serves the collective. If my work resonates with you, I’d love to connect and explore how we can co-create a future that is more conscious, sovereign, and alive.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. Courage to Face the Shadow Self
One of the most transformative qualities I’ve cultivated is the courage to confront my shadow—the deep, unconscious parts of myself that were running the show without my awareness. The shadow holds the patterns, fears, and beliefs that dictate our behaviors and reactions, often leaving us wondering why we keep repeating the same cycles. Facing the shadow isn’t comfortable, but it is necessary for true transformation. For those early in their journey, my advice is to develop self-inquiry practices—whether through therapy, meditation, journaling, or plant medicine work—to bring these unconscious aspects into the light. The more we learn to meet ourselves with honesty and compassion, the more agency we gain in shaping our lives.

2. Learning to Be Interdependent
For much of my life, I operated from a place of hyper-independence, believing I had to do everything alone. This stemmed from growing up in a family dynamic of codependent enmeshment, where I felt suffocated and lost my sense of self. My journey has been about unlearning that extreme self-reliance and embracing interdependence—the ability to trust and lean on others while maintaining my own sovereignty. True interdependence means recognizing that we don’t have to carry everything alone and that allowing ourselves to receive support is not a weakness but a strength. For those just starting out, I encourage practicing vulnerability in small ways—whether it’s asking for help, delegating responsibilities, or allowing yourself to be emotionally seen. Growth happens in the spaces where we lean into discomfort.

3. Understanding That Our Purpose is Greater Than Ourselves
For most of my life, I rejected spirituality, considering myself an atheist by the age of 13. Over time, I came to realize that true, grounded spirituality isn’t about dogma or external belief systems—it’s about how we show up in the world, how we treat each other, and what we stand for beyond our personal gains. I’ve come to believe that we are all in service to something greater than just ourselves. The challenge is balancing deep individuality with the understanding that we are part of a collective. For those at the beginning of this realization, I invite you to explore what it means to act from a heart-centered place—one where your actions are not driven by ego or self-interest but by a deeper sense of contribution. The more we align with this, the more life opens up in unexpected and fulfilling ways.
Ultimately, the greatest lesson I’ve learned is that we hold an immense wealth of wisdom within us—far more than we are taught to believe. The deeper we are willing to go within ourselves, the more powerfully we can show up in the world.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?

The biggest challenge I am currently facing is trust—a recurring theme on my personal journey. Trusting that God, the Universe, or Spirit has my back in what I am creating, and with that, trusting myself. Trusting that I am capable of bringing my vision to life, that I am supported in ways I may not yet see, and that the resources I need—financial, emotional, and practical—will come as I take each step forward.

Right now, I am working on a project that started as a wild idea, something I deeply see a need for and believe could positively impact many people. As I move through the process of bringing this creation into the world, I am continuously rebuilding my confidence and faith—trusting that I am not doing this alone and that the right people, skills, and opportunities will align at the right time.

To overcome this challenge, I remind myself daily that creation is an act of both courage and surrender. I take tangible steps forward while also allowing space for the unknown to unfold. I lean into community, seek support when needed, and stay open to unexpected forms of help. More than anything, I come back to the belief that as humans, we are meant to create—but we are not meant to do it alone.
