We recently connected with Maria Allen and have shared our conversation below.
Maria , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I discovered my purpose and deeper calling for helping women as a nervous system and somatic coach through navigating my own life’s trials and tribulations.
Before finding my purpose in supporting other women, I grappled with anxiety, depression, and unexplained health issues for over a decade. I explored numerous healing modalities in search of relief.
It was my personal struggles that propelled me into this work, reshaping my mental and physical health. After completing my psychology degree, I delved into postgraduate studies, immersing myself in trauma healing, polyvagal theory, somatic healing, and various energy therapy modalities.
This journey has been immensely rewarding, as it allows me to now educate, support, and guide other women in their healing journeys using nervous system regulation, somatic, and energy therapies.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I run an online coaching business dedicated to helping women alleviate anxiety and stress-related emotional and physical symptoms. Through my background in Psychology and expertise in nervous system regulation, somatic work, and a range of energy therapies, I guide women toward relief and well-being. You can find me on Instagram @itsmariaallen.
Within my practice, I emphasize science-backed lifestyle practices that target stress reduction and anxiety management. I equip women with practical tools for regulating their nervous system, fostering a deeper sense of peace, contentment, and safety in their lives. My goal is for them to wake up feeling empowered in mind, body, and spirit.
Currently, I’m enrolling women in my signature 90-day program, “Regulate and Rise,” designed to provide comprehensive relief from symptoms like anxiety, depression, and stress stemming from nervous system dysregulation. This program, grounded in scientific principles, addresses both physical, emotional and mental healing and wellbeing.
This approach is truly unique because it adopts a root cause approach to mental, emotional, and physical well-being. In a world saturated with quick fixes and a heavy reliance on medication and talk therapy, my approach offers a refreshing alternative. It’s designed especially for women who may not resonate with conventional methods or haven’t achieved the results they desired from standard approaches.
In addition to this, I’ve recently launched a podcast titled “Happy and Healing With Maria Allen.” Through empowering conversations, the podcast offers insights into healing, emotional well-being, holistic health, and personal development. Listeners gain actionable strategies to cultivate happiness and become the best versions of themselves.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Reflecting on my journey, I believe that resilience, service, and unwavering belief have been the three most impactful qualities. These attributes were forged through my personal struggles with emotional, physical, and mental health. They have fueled my commitment to supporting other women on profound levels and advocating for a holistic approach to healing and well-being. Each day, these qualities inspire me to reach out to new women and assist them on their own journeys.
My advice to those beginning their journey is to cultivate resilience by embracing challenges as opportunities for growth, to serve others with empathy and compassion, and to maintain unwavering belief in themselves and their capacity for change. These qualities will serve as guiding lights on their path toward personal and professional fulfillment.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m always on the lookout for potential partners and collaborators who share similar values and expertise in the fields of health and wellness, psychology, or alternative medicine. With the introduction of the Happy and Healing With Maria Allen Podcast, I’m excited about the prospect of connecting with potential guests who can contribute valuable insights to share with my audience. I firmly believe that when we unite our efforts, we have the power to create even greater change.
