Meet Maria Morla

We recently connected with Maria Morla and have shared our conversation below.

Maria , so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?

Being the only one in the room I have learned to be effective by just saying focus on the task at hand. The end goal is what makes me successful.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am a single mom of a beautiful and intelligent 4 year old daughter. I am from the most beautiful island of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
I currently live in Charlotte, NC. I am a Pre-K teacher with the Meck Pre-K program!

I love traveling, eating different foods and experiencing different places.

Among other things, I love creating flyers and advertising businesses. Investing in other peoples businesses is the end goal within my marketing business which is called Elevated & Motivated Marketing. It is more than just marketing it is winning together!
I also have another business which is called Elevated & Motivated Travels. I could not have had the business opportunity without PlanNet Marketing & Inteletravel. This business has taught me so much already. I am learning and earning and also building a better me! The support and inspiration that comes from within this business opportunity is immaculate and I mean that from sun up to sun down. The push in this business is so real!
What I am focused on right now professionally is growing into leadership and creating leaders that are better than I am. I am going to change the world! I going to leave a legacy for my daughter.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

In term of most important quality, skills and area of knowledge I say
Quality -empathy
Skills- encouragement
Areas of knowledge- the ability to training and show others how to do things.

Some advice that I would give if someone is early in their journey would be don’t quit, keep going not matter what, you got this, and restart, refocus, and reset as many time as you need to. Set the tone so others are inspired by your will to stay on the course to success!

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I am definitely looking for folks to partner with everyday!
I am looking for individuals who can hold themselves and myself accountable, motivated, empathetic, supportive, and team players.

Let’s help families around the PlanNet together! Collaboration is everything!
