We were lucky to catch up with Mariah Madden recently and have shared our conversation below.

Mariah, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Finding my purpose through God has been a deeply personal journey. It began with prayer, where I sought God’s guidance and asked Him to show me the way. As I spent more time in His presence, I felt a growing sense of clarity. Studying Scripture became a source of wisdom for me, and I found verses that spoke directly to my heart, helping me understand God’s plan for my life. Listening to the Holy Spirit and being open to His promptings helped me recognize the gifts and passions He had placed within me. Serving others and showing love became an important part of my life, as I felt called to reflect God’s love through my actions. I also found strength in being part of a faith community, where the wisdom of others helped me grow and understand my purpose more clearly. Embracing my unique talents and living intentionally, while trusting in God’s timing, gradually revealed the path He had for me. Even through challenges, I saw how God was shaping me, teaching me, and guiding me toward a greater purpose. My journey is ongoing, but I now see that my purpose is not just about a single moment of revelation, but a lifelong process of faith and trust in God’s plan for me.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m the founder and owner of Luxclusuive Studio Salon, a luxury beauty salon dedicated to offering an exceptional, personalized experience to every client. Our focus is not only on providing top-tier beauty services like haircuts, coloring, and facials but also on creating a space where people can truly relax, feel pampered, and leave feeling confident and revitalized. What excites me the most about this work is the ability to transform not just a client’s appearance, but their overall sense of well-being. Every service we offer is tailored to meet the unique needs of each person, and there’s something incredibly special about making someone feel like the best version of themselves.

What I’d love people to know about Luxclusuive Studio Salon is that we go beyond just beauty—we create a sanctuary for self-care and relaxation. It’s about more than just looking great; it’s about feeling great, both inside and out. We pride ourselves on using only the highest quality products and the latest techniques, ensuring that each client’s experience is nothing short of extraordinary.

Right now, we’re focused on expanding our offerings and continuing to enhance our client experience. We’re planning an exclusive line of products, curated specifically for our clients’ needs, and we are also working on hosting regular beauty events and workshops. These will not only showcase our services but also bring together like-minded individuals who value self-care and the beauty industry.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back on my journey, the three qualities that have been most impactful are resilience, creativity, and strong communication skills.

Resilience: Starting and growing a business is filled with challenges, setbacks, and unexpected hurdles. Resilience has been crucial in staying focused on my vision, even when things didn’t go as planned. It’s about bouncing back from difficult moments and finding ways to learn from them. My advice to those just starting out is to embrace failure as a part of the learning process. Keep pushing forward, stay flexible, and be patient with the growth process.

Creativity: Whether it’s designing a beautiful salon space or coming up with new ways to serve our clients, creativity has allowed me to stand out and offer a unique experience. Creativity isn’t just for artists; it’s about thinking outside the box and finding innovative solutions to challenges. My advice here is to nurture your creative side by seeking inspiration from various sources, trying new things, and not being afraid to take risks. It’s often in the boldest ideas that we find our true path.

Strong Communication Skills: Being able to connect with clients, my team, and even suppliers is essential for a successful business. Good communication ensures that everyone is on the same page and helps to build strong relationships. For those early in their journey, I recommend actively working on improving communication skills—whether it’s through reading, practicing, or learning from mentors. Clear and empathetic communication fosters trust and builds strong partnerships, both in business and in life.

My advice for those starting their own journey would be to stay true to your vision but also remain open to learning and growing. It’s okay to make mistakes, but the key is to keep improving and never lose sight of why you started in the first place. Surround yourself with mentors, seek knowledge, and keep developing these core skills- resilience, creativity, and communication—as you continue on your path.
