Meet Marie Pallansch

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Marie Pallansch. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Marie, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.

Imposter syndrome definitely sneaks in sometimes, especially in such a creative and personal industry. When it happens, I try to remind myself why I started—couples trust me to capture the little moments they might not even realize are happening, and that’s so special. I also look back at past videos and sweet messages from clients which always reminds me that I’m creating something meaningful and important. And honestly, I’ve learned that everyone, even the most experienced people, feels this way at times. The key is just to keep going, keep creating, and trust that I’m in the right place.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I run a wedding content creation business where I capture the candid, in-between moments of a couple’s big day and turn them into short-form videos they can cherish instantly. My approach is all about complementing traditional photography and videography—offering a real-time, behind-the-scenes perspective that helps couples relive their wedding from the eyes of their loved ones.

What I love most about what I do is that I get to preserve the little moments that might otherwise go unseen. While professional photos and videos are timeless, my work provides an added layer of nostalgia and immediacy, allowing couples to experience their day from a different perspective.

Right now, I’m focused on growing my business and continuing to work with amazing couples who want to capture their day in an authentic and meaningful way. Whether they’re planning an intimate elopement or a grand celebration, I truly believe every couple deserves to have their love story documented in a way that feels true to them. I’m so excited to keep creating and evolving in this space!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three things that have been the most impactful in my journey are adaptability, storytelling, and building genuine connections.

Adaptability – Weddings are fast-paced, unpredictable, and filled with moving parts. Being able to think on my feet—whether it’s adjusting to unexpected weather, shifting timelines, or capturing a spontaneous moment—has been key. For anyone starting out, my advice is to embrace flexibility. The more comfortable you get with going with the flow, the better you’ll be at capturing real, unfiltered moments.

Storytelling – It’s not just about filming clips; it’s about crafting a narrative that brings a wedding day to life. Understanding pacing, music, and emotion has helped me create videos that truly feel special and unique to each couple. For those looking to improve, I recommend studying different forms of storytelling—whether that’s through movies, music videos, or even TikTok trends. Pay attention to what makes something feel emotional and engaging, and apply that to your own work.

Building Genuine Connections – At the heart of what I do is trust. Couples invite me into one of the most important days of their lives, and I don’t take that lightly. Being warm, approachable, and truly invested in their experience makes all the difference. My advice? Focus on relationships first. Be present, listen, and make people feel comfortable—it will show in your work and lead to stronger, more authentic content.

For anyone just starting out, my biggest tip is to keep creating and staying curious. The more you learn and do, the more you’ll refine your style, build confidence, and find your place in the industry.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

Balancing a 9-5, side hustles, a new puppy, trying to have hobbies, making time for friends and family, and running this awesome business is a lot. I get overwhelmed easily, and when that happens, I’ve learned that the best thing I can do is take a step back and focus on one thing at a time.

I love my lists. Getting everything out of my head and onto paper or my Notes app instantly makes things feel more manageable. From there, I break tasks down into small, doable steps so I don’t get stuck in the “where do I even start?” spiral.

I’ve also realized that I can’t do everything all at once, and that’s okay. Prioritizing what truly needs to get done, letting go of the guilt of not being productive 24/7, and making time for small resets like a walk with my puppy or a quick coffee break help me stay grounded.

For anyone feeling overwhelmed, my advice is to give yourself grace. Take a breath, tackle one thing at a time, and don’t be afraid to step away when you need to. The work will always be there, but you can’t pour from an empty cup.
